Princess Cruises has revealed a bold new entertainment program aboard its newest Sphere-class ship, including two original theatrical productions, an immersive candlelight concert series, and live performances by artists from 24 countries that will bring every space on board to life.
Designed to ignite wonder and connection, Star Princess blends large-scale, high-tech productions in the state-of-the-art Princess Arena, atmospheric live music in The Dome, and spontaneous pop-up shows in the stunning glass-enclosed Piazza.
“We’re not just putting on shows — we’re creating moments that guests will carry with them long after the cruise,” said Lorna Warren, Vice President of Hotel Operations and Guest Experience at Princess Cruises. “Star Princess was crafted to move, inspire, and surprise our guests every night.”
Princess Arena: Epic Stories, Bold Spectacle
Meridian – New!
Set aboard a majestic ship in a gilded age of elegance, Meridian tells the story of Arabella Dovewood, a noblewoman navigating masked balls and roaring engine rooms in a journey of hidden love and awakening destiny. This visually stunning production features a lush original score and reimagined pop classics. Created by BAFTA-winning creative director Dan Shipton, choreographed by Kieran Daley-Ward, and produced by Ross Nicholson, it blends cinematic spectacle with human emotion.
Illuminate: A Spectacle of Joy – New!
Step under a nostalgic circus tent into a world where wonder replaces illusion. Illuminate invites the audience on a surreal journey led by characters who embody the many facets of a ringmaster — charm, charisma, and control. With a multigenerational pop score by Kola Bello, choreography by Jay Revell, and co-direction by Revell and Nicholson, the production celebrates the extraordinary in the everyday.
Both shows are developed in collaboration with Black Skull Creative, renowned for crafting immersive and perception-shifting stage experiences around the globe.
Also returning is Viva La Música, first seen on the Sun Princess. Choreographed by Latin icon Liz Imperio, known for her work with Jennifer Lopez and Madonna, the show features hits like “Havana” and “Oye Como Va” — bringing the irresistible rhythms of Latin America to sea.
Entertainment on board Star Princess goes beyond the stage — from open-air deck parties and themed Piazza events to a reimagined Champagne Waterfall experience. Guests can enjoy live music, dance the night away, or simply soak in an atmosphere that comes alive after dark.
The Dome: A Sanctuary of Sound and Light
The all-new Candlelight Concert Series transforms the glass-topped Dome into a magical sanctuary bathed in the soft glow of candlelight. Classical works are reinterpreted with cinematic flair in this uniquely intimate setting, offering a breathtaking multisensory journey of sound, light, and emotion — unlike anything else at sea.
The Piazza: Center Stage for All
Princess Jamz is a high-energy, 45-minute live performance led by the Princess World Orchestra and Cruise Director, filling the Piazza with rich sound and thrilling rhythm. It’s a moment for guests to sit back or dance along in the heart of the ship’s vibrant social hub.
Celestial Champagne Soirée – Exclusive Premiere
Also in the Piazza, Princess Cruises debuts the Celestial Champagne Soirée, an immersive celebration under the stars. This multimedia evening combines sound, light, and visual storytelling, ending with the iconic Champagne Waterfall — a timeless Princess tradition now reimagined with dazzling flair.
The Star Princess, sister ship to the award-winning Sun Princess, will carry 4,300 guests and measure 175,500 gross tons. Built by Fincantieri in Monfalcone, Italy, she will sail her inaugural season through the Mediterranean, Caribbean, Panama Canal, and Alaska beginning October 4, 2025.
