As temperatures climb across Europe and Asia, Agoda is
encouraging travelers to head for cooler destinations across the Asia-Pacific
region. The digital travel platform has curated a selection of destinations
offering milder weather and distinctive experiences, ranging from New Zealand's
snow-covered mountains to the highland retreats of Malaysia.
Winter escapes in New Zealand and Australia
In New Zealand, Agoda recommends Queenstown and
Wellington as ideal destinations for travelers seeking cooler temperatures.
Queenstown offers an alpine winter setting with temperatures ranging from 9°C
to -2°C during July and August, making it a popular choice for skiing and
outdoor activities. Wellington combines temperatures between 14°C and 7°C with
cultural attractions and coastal scenery.
Australia also features prominently in the selection.
Melbourne offers a refreshing city break with cool weather, a vibrant arts
scene and renowned dining experiences, while Hobart, Tasmania's historic
waterfront city, provides easy access to spectacular wilderness landscapes with
temperatures ranging from 11°C to 3°C.
From Hokkaido to the Highlands
In Japan, Agoda highlights Sapporo and Hakodate on the
northern island of Hokkaido, where summer temperatures between 22°C and 17°C
provide welcome relief from the heat. Visitors can explore lavender fields,
fresh seafood and panoramic mountain scenery.
Malaysia's Cameron Highlands and Genting Highlands
offer similarly pleasant conditions, with temperatures between 25°C and 15°C.
The cooler climate makes the region ideal for visiting tea plantations,
mountain resorts and nature attractions.
For travelers considering India, Agoda recommends the
hill stations of Manali and Shimla. Both destinations combine scenic mountain
landscapes with temperatures ranging from 25°C to 15°C, offering an attractive
alternative to the summer heat in lower-lying regions.
One platform for accommodation, flights and activities
"As temperatures soar this summer, Agoda is your
ticket to finding the perfect destination to cool off. Whether you're hitting
the slopes in Queenstown or enjoying the crisp mountain breeze in the Cameron
Highlands, we're here to help you escape the heat and discover the region's
most refreshing retreats, with accommodations, flights and activities you can
book seamlessly in one platform," says Andrew Smith, Senior Vice
President, Supply at Agoda.
According to the company, travelers can choose from
more than six million accommodation options, over 300,000 activities and more
than 130,000 flight routes, all of which can be booked together through Agoda's
platform.
