Hong Kong's Harbour City has launched one of the
city's largest-ever Toy Story celebrations with the new "FOREVER TOYS @
Harbour City" event. Since opening on 19 June, the shopping and tourism
destination has welcomed visitors with immersive installations, interactive
games, exclusive exhibitions and themed retail experiences inspired by Disney
and Pixar's upcoming Toy Story 5.
New attractions arrive in July
Following a successful launch, the event entered its
second phase on 1 July with a series of new attractions. Visitors can now enjoy
exclusive stamp rally activities, limited-edition merchandise and the newly
opened "The Art of Disney and Pixar's Toy Story 5" exhibition,
offering an inside look at the creative development of the upcoming film.
One of the main highlights is the 4.5-metre-tall
"Buzz Lightyear – To Infinity and Beyond!" installation overlooking
Victoria Harbour. The larger-than-life figure, inspired by Hong Kong
Disneyland's "Pixar Summer Rally", has quickly become one of the
event's most popular photo locations.
Interactive experiences for all ages
At the Ocean Terminal Forecourt, the "Toy Meets
Tech" Playroom combines technology with hands-on entertainment. Visitors
are welcomed by giant sculptures of Woody, Jessie and Bullseye before entering
a tunnel inspired by the Lilypad tablet featured in the film.
Four interactive game zones invite guests to test
their skills through themed challenges, including a Western-style ring toss
with Jessie and Bullseye, a block-building activity inspired by Forky and
Karen, a Buzz Lightyear space challenge and an electronic memory game featuring
Lilypad and the Tech Trio.
Hong Kong Disneyland joins the celebration
Hong Kong Disneyland has extended its "Pixar
Summer Rally" beyond the theme park by creating several colourful
installations at Harbour City. These include a parade float inspired by the
"Pixar Water Play Street Party!", a four-metre-tall Pixar-themed
block castle and a display based on the popular RC Racer attraction.
Together, the attractions create a lively summer
atmosphere along Victoria Harbour and offer visitors of all ages an opportunity
to experience the world of Pixar both inside and outside the theme park.
Harbour City strengthens its tourism appeal
By combining entertainment, shopping and exclusive
Disney and Pixar experiences, Harbour City continues to reinforce its position
as one of Hong Kong's leading visitor attractions. The large-scale Toy Story 5
celebration adds another major event to the city's summer calendar while
offering fans an immersive preview of one of Disney and Pixar's most
anticipated film releases.
