With
2025 expected to break that record once more, the country’s tourism recovery
and growth continue at full pace.
According
to WTTC’s latest Economic Impact Research (EIR), conducted with Oxford
Economics, Travel & Tourism contributed EGP 1.4 trillion to Egypt’s GDP in
2024, representing 8.5% of the national economy. In 2025, this figure is
forecast to grow by 4.9%, pushing the sector’s share of GDP to 8.6%.
Visitor
Spending Surpasses Pre-Pandemic Levels

726.9 billion (+36.1% vs. 2019)
·
Domestic visitor spending: EGP 449.9
billion (+31.8% vs. 2019)
The
upward momentum is expected to continue in 2025, with projected international

Job
Creation Hits New Heights

numbers show a sector that is not only recovering, but thriving—driven by
heritage, innovation, and a strong government focus on investment and
sustainable growth.”
