A record number of high profile speakers will present at the 2010 Travel Distribution Summit Europe, representing the companies that are shaping the future of travel sales - online and on mobile.
The Summit is taking place on 17-18 June at the Business Design Centre in London. More than 100 speakers will present across 6 conference tracks looking at social media & marketing, revenue & channel management, mobile, merchandising, online payments and sales management.
The event will kick off with a keynote address from Glenn Fogel, EVP at Priceline and a Summit favourite. Expect an insightful and controversial opener to get the audience fired up and set the stage for a keynote debate featuring two other travel powerhouses, Lief Larsen, EVP at Kuoni, and Nigel Pocklington, VP Marketing at Expedia. The debate will focus on the economic and technological trends which are shaping the industry, with speakers outlining their views on innovation, investment and customer engagement.
“This year’s Summit is shaping up to be the most interesting and timely event we’ve run in many years. The way travellers are accessing information and communicating about travel products has changed dramatically, even in the last six months.”, said Simon Carkeek, EyeforTravel’s Executive Director.
“There’s so much to discuss and understand right now. To plan a successful route in the recovery, travel companies need to really know how to harness the sales and marketing potential of powerful consumer technologies such as social media and mobile. And they also need to understand how to maximise their revenues and their reach to market.”
