Golf & Cruise voyages are an opportunity to explore famous golf courses around the world whilst also enjoying the atmosphere of a luxurious cruise experience in an exclusive setting with like-minded people. The golf element is modular, combining training, organisation and optional extra services tailored to the itinerary and the guest’s level of play. For more information, visit www.hl-cruises.com/golf
Besides the specially designed themed cruises – the Golf & Cruise voyages – guests have the option of adding individual packages on board on all EUROPA and EUROPA 2 routes. These range from introductory courses to training programmes for beginners and experts and even bespoke arrangements for individual parts of a cruise. Golf simulators on board allow for flexible training during days at sea, including virtual rounds on international golf courses and targeted technical training. Video analysis with high-speed cameras helps guests analyse their swings. What’s more, guests benefit from the support of a PGA golf professional, who stays on board all year round.
Golf & Cruise: bookable on selected cruises prior to departure
The selected Golf & Cruise voyages set sail for golf courses in different regions of the world. All cruises are accompanied by well-known PGA golf professionals, who lend the guests their assistance on board and on the course at each destination. The destinations range from tropical regions with fairways in the rainforest to coastal courses with striking natural landscapes. In addition to golf on a series of courses, the cruises focus on honing guests’ personal technique with the assistance of the golf simulator on board, supported by individual coaching to perfect their skills on the golf course.
Golf & Cruise package:
The basic package includes comprehensive support from PGA golf professionals as well as the full range of organisational services for the days of golf ashore. These include Warm-up sessions on the driving range, green fees and trolleys or carts (subject to availability), transfers to the golf courses with a guide, traditional food and an exclusive dinner with the PGA pro. The package also features presentations, individual training sessions with video analysis, a luggage and club service, a shoe cleaning service, a special award, a welcome cocktail and a golf gift set.
Bespoke golf arrangements can be booked on board at any time
Even outside of the Golf & Cruise voyages, guests can indulge their passion for golf at any time during the cruise and make flexible use of the services of the golf professionals on board. These can be booked on board and comprise the following services:
Golf taster package An introduction to the theoretical and practical aspects of golf for anyone who is interested in golf but inexperienced. Two training sessions with the PGA golf professional (2 x 50 minutes for one to two people, € 169)
Golf training package Intense training for all levels of ability designed to improve technique. Six training sessions with the PGA golf professional (6 x 25 minutes, € 249 per person)
Golf a la carte Personalised golf arrangements for individual destinations or cruise stages. These include the organisation of tee times, equipment logistics and transfers as well as (on request and at a surcharge) coaching on the course by an experienced PGA golf professional.
Golf excursions ashore Golf excursions in small groups are available on selected cruises, where the PGA golf professional on board handles the arrangements and leads a group warm-up on the course itself.
