As
part of Vijitr @ Chiang Mai – Myriad of Colours of the Light Line, the event
will take place from 31 May to 8 June 2025, between 18:00 and 22:00 hrs, at the
scenic San Kamphaeng Hot Springs in Mae On District.
“This
is a unique invitation to discover the healing power of Thai nature reimagined
through light, steam, and serenity,” said TAT Governor Thapanee Kiatphaibool.
“Chiang Mai’s heritage and natural beauty provide the ideal backdrop for this
immersive celebration of creativity.”
Under
the theme The Magic of Onsen Night: The Glow of Nature, ten light-based
installations transform the steamy geothermal park into a dreamscape of motion
and colour:
·
The Ripple of Time: A glowing tunnel
symbolising time’s flow.
·
The Starlit Veiled: Cascading lights
evoke a dreamlike night sky.
·
The Flowing Tide: Ground-level lasers
trace the rhythms of spring water.
·
The Stream Soundscape: A sensory blend
of light and natural sound.
·
The Glowing Springs: Bubbling pools
become living, luminous artworks.
·
The Magic of ONSEN Night: A softly lit
footbath oasis.
·
The Prosperity Forest: A forest scene
brought to life by backlit trees.
·
The Power of Fire: A digital campfire
experience honouring human connection.
·
The Great Egg: A towering light
sculpture symbolising life and creation.
·
The Tales of Imagination: Pink-lit
trees and shadows invite reflection and wonder.
Alongside
the installations, visitors can enjoy interactive attractions:
·
Health & Wellness Zone: Discover
herbal compress workshops, spa products from the On Tai community, and the
unique "chicken-coop spa". Free health check-ups are offered by Mae
On Hospital.
·
Cultural Performances: Four nightly
shows accompany a musical fountain, including royal compositions.
·
Retro Fairground: Enjoy nostalgic
games and rides like Ferris wheels, merry-go-rounds, and traditional archery.
·
Heritage Exhibition: Learn the story
behind the San Kamphaeng Hot Springs.
·
Highlights include nighttime
egg-boiling in the illuminated springs and serene foot soaking under glowing
beams—blending wellness and wonder.
