Cunard has unveiled its 2028 voyage programme,
announcing 190 sailings between April 2028 and January 2029. The new collection
spans 36 countries and 125 ports worldwide, including 98 UNESCO World Heritage
sites, while introducing several landmark moments for the British luxury cruise
brand.
One of the major highlights will take place in
Liverpool in May 2028, when all four Cunard Queens — Queen Mary 2, Queen
Victoria, Queen Elizabeth and Queen Anne — gather together for the first time
in the company’s history as part of the Four Queens Celebration.
The programme also introduces Cunard’s new
Queen-to-Queen voyages, allowing guests to combine back-to-back sailings aboard
two, three or even all four Queens within a single extended journey.
Among the standout itineraries is a 40-night
four-Queen voyage from Southampton to Civitavecchia near Rome, departing on 16
April 2028. The sailing includes the Norwegian Fjords, several major European
ports and participation in the Four Queens Celebration in Liverpool on 16 May
2028.
In total, the programme includes 19 overnight stays
and 37 late-evening departures designed to give guests more time ashore in key
destinations.
Katie McAlister, President of Cunard, described the
collection as one of the company’s most ambitious programmes to date. “From the
historic moment all four Queens meet in Liverpool on May 16, 2028 to the
extraordinary breadth of destinations we will visit, we have thoughtfully
curated these voyages to give our guests more time in port, and the chance to
explore the world with the signature elegance and sense of occasion that
defines Cunard,” she said.
Queen Mary 2 returns to iconic crossings and Northern
destinations
Queen Mary 2, the world’s only ocean liner, will
continue operating Cunard’s signature Transatlantic Crossings. In 2028, the
ship will undertake its first-ever eastbound crossing from New York to
Liverpool for the Four Queens Celebration.
The vessel’s programme also includes itineraries in
the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, Canada and the Caribbean.
Highlights include an overnight stay in Boston during
Independence Day celebrations, a return to Gaspé in Canada for the first time
in 11 years, a voyage to Norway’s North Cape and a Northern Lights itinerary
featuring an overnight stay in Tromsø.
Queen Victoria focuses on Europe and the Mediterranean
Queen Victoria will sail roundtrip from Southampton
throughout 2028, concentrating on Northern Europe and Mediterranean
itineraries.
Extended stays in Stockholm, Reykjavík, Oslo and
Copenhagen will allow guests more time ashore, while late-evening departures
inside the Arctic Circle are designed to maximise opportunities to view the
Northern Lights.
In the Mediterranean, the ship will return to
destinations such as Albania, Cyprus, Turkey and Tunisia for the first time in
more than a decade. Queen Victoria will also make maiden calls to Olbia and
Taranto in Italy, as well as Aberdeen in Scotland and Måløy in Norway.
Queen Elizabeth explores the Mediterranean
Queen Elizabeth’s summer 2028 programme centres on
Mediterranean voyages, with itineraries through Croatia, Montenegro and Greece.
Among the highlights are a maiden call to Bari in
southern Italy and an overnight stay in Istanbul, giving guests the opportunity
to experience landmarks such as the Hagia Sophia after dark.
Queen Anne expands Northern Europe programme
Cunard’s newest ship, Queen Anne, will begin its 2028
season in Scandinavia and Northern Europe before participating in the Four
Queens Celebration in Liverpool.
The ship will operate a mix of seven-night voyages
from Southampton to Norway, France, Spain and Portugal. The programme also
includes a maiden call to Le Verdon in France, gateway to the Bordeaux wine
region.
Additional itineraries feature overnight stays in
Oslo, Copenhagen and Lisbon, as well as longer Arctic and Canary Islands
voyages.
New Signature Packages introduced
Alongside the new itineraries, Cunard has also
launched two new Signature Packages aimed at creating a more inclusive onboard
experience.
The Signature Package and Premium Signature Package
combine services such as Wi-Fi, drinks and specialty dining credits into
bundled upgrades. According to the company, guests can save up to 30 per cent
compared with purchasing the services separately onboard.
Cunard World Club members will receive early access to
bookings beginning on 18 and 19 May 2026, before general sales open on 20 May
2026. Guests booking selected voyages between 18 May and 30 June 2026 will also
receive a ten per cent discount, while additional onboard credit offers remain
available through September 2026.
