The meeting resulted in a mutual agreement to launch joint initiatives that include the reciprocal promotion of tourism resources and the facilitation of two-way visitor flows between Guizhou and Thailand.

During the event, Guizhou representatives highlighted the province's rapidly growing tourism industry and formally invited Thailand to become a Global Partner of Colorful Guizhou. This partnership is intended to foster shared development, enhance mutual visibility, and support long-term regional growth.

Two key agreements were signed:

A Memorandum of Understanding between the Guizhou Travel Association and the Thailand Tourism Association, and

A cooperation agreement between the Inbound Tourism Branch of Guizhou and the Thai Travel Agents Association.

These agreements aim to promote collaborative marketing efforts, deepen market integration, and co-develop tourism services by leveraging the unique strengths of both regions.

Thai tour operators at the meeting identified Guizhou's renowned Huangguoshu Waterfall as a major draw for Thai outbound travelers and showed interest in tapping into Guizhou’s tourism incentive programs.

Noor Ahmad Hamid, CEO of the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), praised Guizhou’s natural beauty, cultural heritage, and warm hospitality. He voiced PATA’s interest in partnering with the Guizhou Provincial Government to boost global awareness of the region and drive international visitation.

As China and Thailand celebrate 50 years of diplomatic ties, Guizhou is expanding its global footprint. A regional tourism corridor linking Hong Kong, Macao, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Guilin, Guiyang, Kunming, and Bangkok is also under development, aiming to enhance cultural exchange and international cooperation.
