IHG Hotels & Resorts has reached a new milestone
in Greater China, with its Vignette Collection now comprising 10 open hotels
across the region. The achievement highlights the continued expansion of IHG’s
luxury and lifestyle portfolio and reflects a growing focus on individualized,
experience-led hospitality.
As travel preferences shift away from standardized
offerings, guests are increasingly seeking stays defined by authenticity,
emotional connection, and a strong sense of place. Vignette Collection is
positioned to respond to this change, offering hotels that emphasise
storytelling, character, and meaningful guest experiences closely tied to their
destinations.
A flexible luxury brand rooted in individuality
Vignette Collection forms part of IHG’s luxury and
lifestyle portfolio and brings together a curated group of hotels, each with
its own identity and narrative. The brand provides a flexible pathway for hotel
conversion and the thoughtful enhancement of high-quality existing properties
and unique projects, allowing them to elevate guest experiences while
preserving their individual character. This approach has enabled IHG to enrich
its presence in Greater China through a diverse range of urban and lifestyle destinations.
Executive perspective on portfolio growth

to be thoughtfully reintroduced, bringing luxury back to its essence —
experiences that are memorable, personal, and meaningful.”
Supporting urban renewal through design-led projects
Since its global launch in 2021 and its entry into
Greater China in 2023, Vignette Collection has expanded steadily across major
cities and lifestyle hubs. By respecting original architecture and cultural
context, and by leveraging IHG’s operating platform and global resources, the
brand supports the renewal and upgrading of existing properties while retaining
their original identity.
An example is Palm Springs Hotel Chengdu, where the
integration of Vignette Collection brand elements enhances the guest journey
while preserving the hotel’s established character. Such projects contribute to
a more layered and differentiated luxury hospitality landscape in urban
environments.
One-of-a-kind stays and memorable rituals
At the core of Vignette Collection is a commitment to
One-of-a-Kind Stays, with each hotel offering its own interpretation shaped by
location and local culture. The brand’s Memorable Rituals are designed to
create moments that resonate beyond the stay itself.
At TFT Chongqing, for instance, guests can personalise
artistic key cards and take part in a bespoke fragrance experience, turning
their stay into a tangible and lasting memory of the city.
Integrating community and responsibility
Guided by its “A Means for Good” ethos, Vignette
Collection incorporates social and environmental responsibility into its
long-term practices. At THE ONE Shanghai Downtown, the hotel collaborates with
local artists and community partners, showcasing works by emerging creatives in
public spaces, with proceeds supporting creative education initiatives. These
efforts allow guests to engage naturally with the local community, adding depth
and purpose to their stay.
With 10 hotels now open and several additional
projects in preparation, Vignette Collection continues to expand its footprint
