Emirates is expanding its exclusive Chauffeur-Drive
service in Japan, extending the premium ground experience to customers
travelling via Narita International Airport and Kansai International Airport.
From 1 February 2026, the service will be available at Narita, followed by
Kansai from 1 March 2026, complementing the existing offering at Haneda
Airport. With this move, Emirates remains the only international airline to
provide a complimentary chauffeur-driven service in Japan.
Available to First Class and Business Class customers
on eligible Emirates-operated flights, Chauffeur-Drive is designed to offer a
seamless, door-to-door journey. The service includes private transfers between
the airport and a customer’s home, hotel or office, ensuring a smooth
transition from ground to air and back again.
Premium travel experience on the ground
The expansion further enhances Emirates’ premium
proposition in Japan. At Narita International Airport, the ground experience is
complemented by access to the airline’s dedicated lounge in Terminal 2,
allowing premium travellers to enjoy comfort and privacy before departure.
Chauffeur-Drive is positioned as an integral part of
Emirates’ end-to-end service philosophy, delivering the same level of
convenience and personalised care on the ground as customers experience on
board.
Service coverage and conditions
The Chauffeur-Drive service includes up to 100
kilometres per journey, calculated using the shortest distance between the
airport and the designated pick-up or drop-off point. For Narita International
Airport, coverage extends across Tokyo’s 23 wards and most areas of Tokyo,
Chiba, Saitama and Kanagawa prefectures. At Kansai International Airport, the
service covers Osaka City and large parts of Osaka, Nara, Kyoto and Hyogo
prefectures.
Any distance beyond the 100-kilometre allowance is
subject to an additional charge of JPY 500 per kilometre, plus applicable tax.
Excess mileage fees are settled directly with the driver and can be paid in
Japanese yen or by credit card.
Booking and broader network in Japan
Customers can arrange their Chauffeur-Drive service in
advance via the Manage Your Booking section on emirates.com or through the
Emirates contact centre. The service expansion aligns with Emirates’ broader
presence in Japan, where the airline operates flights to Haneda, Narita and
Kansai.
By extending Chauffeur-Drive to additional airports,
Emirates continues to invest in Japan as a key market, reinforcing its
commitment to delivering a consistent, high-quality premium travel experience
both in the air and on the ground.
