Tourexpi
Developed
by Miral, the expansion spans more than 13,000 square metres and marks a
significant milestone in the park’s growth, introducing over 20 new rides,
slides, and water-based experiences alongside an all-new dining venue.
Themed
around a mystical "Lost City," the expansion continues the
waterpark’s original narrative, The Legend of the Lost Pearl, and brings Yas
Waterworld’s total offering to over 60 attractions – the most of any waterpark
in the region.
Among
the new highlights is Al Falaj Race, the Middle East’s first side-by-side
dueling tube raft ride, offering high-speed drops and head-to-head thrills.
Other standout additions include Al Sahel Junior, the region’s first mini
zero-gravity boomerango slide, and Bahamut’s Rage, a high-thrill log flume
water ride designed for adrenaline seekers.
Dr.
Mohamed Abdalla Al Zaabi, Group CEO of Miral, commented:
“The
expansion of Yas Waterworld Yas Island, Abu Dhabi represents another bold step
in our mission to deliver exceptional, world-leading and joyful experiences on
Yas Island. These new rides not only transform water-based entertainment in the
region but also reflect our ongoing commitment to creating innovative
destinations that captivate visitors of all ages. As we continue to contribute
to Abu Dhabi's tourism growth and economic diversification, we're proud to
offer yet another reason for families and thrill-seekers to explore everything
Yas Island has to offer.”
Designed
to cater to guests of all ages, the expansion features family-friendly
attractions like Al Mafras, a gently twisting slide for children, and Red Dunes,
a fast-paced aqua tube slide. Young adventurers can enjoy Dawwama Junior, a
kid-sized version of the park’s iconic tornado slide, while interactive zones
such as Bandit’s Playground in the new Bandit’s Village provide splash-filled
fun for the whole family.
Guests
can also explore Mataha Madness, a labyrinth of slides and surprises, or take
on the spinning excitement of Sadaf Swirl. With these new additions, Yas
Waterworld cements its status as the region’s leading aquatic adventure
destination.
