Hilton has launched Kitchen Kinship, a regional dining
initiative across Asia Pacific that places family, connection and communal
dining at the centre of the travel experience. Timed to coincide with the Lunar
New Year, the programme reflects a growing appetite for shared meals that bring
generations together and anchor meaningful time spent as a family.
Communal dining shaped by changing travel patterns
Rolling out across selected Hilton properties in
Southeast Asia, Kitchen Kinship is informed by the rise of multi-generational
travel, where grandparents, parents and children increasingly holiday and dine
together. Participating hotels interpret the concept through menus designed for
sharing, honouring festive traditions while allowing flexibility for different
group sizes and occasions.
The initiative is underpinned by insights from Hilton
2026 Trends Report, which highlights the emergence of “generation permutations”
and a shift in holiday priorities. Across Asia Pacific, spending quality time
with family now outweighs personal relaxation, with 61% of travellers saying
togetherness matters more than downtime. Culinary exploration ranks as the
leading shared activity at 69%, underscoring food’s role as a catalyst for
connection. In Singapore, the preference is even stronger, with 81% of families
citing food-led experiences as their top activity.
A regional expression across flagship properties
Kitchen Kinship is being brought to life at a curated
selection of Hilton hotels, including Conrad Bangkok, Conrad Manila, Conrad
Singapore Marina Bay, Conrad Singapore Orchard, Hilton Kuala Lumpur, Hilton
Petaling Jaya, and La Festa Phu Quoc, Curio Collection by Hilton. While
launching during a season traditionally associated with family reunions, the
programme is designed to resonate year-round with travellers seeking inclusive,
emotionally engaging dining experiences.
Menus designed for sharing and celebration
At Conrad Bangkok’s Liu Restaurant, Kitchen Kinship is
expressed through tiered family-style set menus for groups of four to ten
guests, alongside an all-you-can-eat dim sum lunch. Conrad Manila’s China Blue
by Jereme Leung focuses on generous reunion menus and banquet-style dining
rooted in culinary heritage. At Conrad Singapore Marina Bay, Golden Peony
highlights refined Cantonese dishes, including a whole celebratory roasted
suckling pig, while Conrad Singapore Orchard’s Summer Palace presents Michelin-starred
Cantonese craftsmanship suited to both family gatherings and corporate
entertaining.
In Malaysia, Hilton Kuala Lumpur’s Chynna offers a
modern take on Cantonese and Shanghainese cuisine led by Celebrity Chef Lam
Hock Hin, complemented by Hilton Petaling Jaya’s Toh Yuen Chinese Restaurant,
which blends classic Cantonese flavours with contemporary presentation.
Completing the regional picture, La Festa Phu Quoc’s Seta delivers an intimate
interpretation of Kitchen Kinship through contemporary Cantonese dining in a
refined, design-led setting.
Food as an emotional anchor in travel
At the heart of Kitchen Kinship is the idea of the
table as a place of belonging. By curating menus and experiences meant to be
shared, Hilton reinforces food’s role not only as sustenance, but as a
connector across generations, cultures and traditions. The initiative further
strengthens Hilton’s positioning as a hospitality group attuned to the
emotional dimensions of travel, where meaningful moments are increasingly
defined by time spent together.
Kitchen Kinship runs from 2 February to 15 March 2026
across participating Hilton properties in Asia Pacific.
