Tourexpi
Scheduled
to open in the first quarter of 2026, the hotel supports IHG’s strategy to
expand its presence in India’s emerging secondary and tertiary markets, where
demand for reliable, high-quality accommodations continues to grow rapidly.
Garner®
is IHG’s newest midscale conversion brand, created for value-conscious
travellers seeking comfortable, dependable stays with a relaxed and welcoming
atmosphere. The brand offers flexible spaces, local flair, and essential
comforts, making it an ideal choice for India’s evolving travel market. Through
a franchising model, Garner addresses the need for trusted midscale hotels
across the country.
Located
in Kutch, Gujarat’s largest district by area, Garner Kutch will be developed by
Royal Buildspace LLP and managed by Rosastays (Rosaoul Hotelco Pvt Ltd), one of
IHG’s preferred third-party operators for the Garner brand in India. Rosastays
is also managing two other upcoming Garner properties—Garner Etawah and Garner
Kathua—set to open in 2026 and 2027.
The
hotel will feature 40 well-appointed guest rooms, an all-day dining restaurant,
a swimming pool, a fitness centre, a spa, and spaces for meetings and social
events. Set in a region undergoing rapid industrial and tourism development,
Garner Kutch is designed to serve the needs of business travellers,
professionals, and tourists alike.
Sudeep
Jain, Managing Director, South West Asia, IHG Hotels & Resorts, commented:
“The rapid uptake of Garner in India—with three signings in quick
succession—demonstrates strong owner confidence in our midscale conversion
proposition. Kutch’s dynamic growth aligns perfectly with Garner’s potential to
deliver asset-light, high-return opportunities for partners like Royal
Buildspace. Together with Rosastays, we’re unlocking India’s underserved
markets where demand for trusted brands is growing fast.”
Deepika
Arora, Director at Rosastays, added: “At Rosastays, we prioritise operational
excellence and curated guest experiences. Garner Kutch presents a strong value
proposition for guests seeking dependable and comfortable hospitality with a
local touch. This is our third Garner partnership with IHG, reaffirming our
shared vision to elevate midscale hospitality in India’s high-potential
markets.”
Deepak
Chandnani, Partner at Royal Buildspace LLP, noted: “Garner’s owner-centric
model and distinct brand identity, combined with IHG’s global reach, make it
the ideal choice for Kutch. We are proud to bring this exciting offering to a
region on the rise, and we look forward to welcoming guests with a unique and
reliable stay experience.”
Kutch,
with a population exceeding 2 million, is rapidly developing as both an
industrial and tourism hub. Signature events like the Rann Utsav and the
upcoming DP World Special Economic Zone—located just 6 km from the hotel—are
expected to drive further growth in travel demand, making this new Garner
property particularly well-positioned.
IHG®
currently operates 50 hotels across six brands in India, including Six Senses,
InterContinental Hotels & Resorts®, Crowne Plaza®, voco™ Hotels, Holiday
Inn Resort®, and Holiday Inn Express®, with a robust pipeline of 63 additional
hotels set to open within the next 3 to 5 years.
