Over
the course of the professional days, the Knowledge Hub will host the Travel
Technology area, which has grown by more than 35%, as well as FITUR Know-How
& Export, FITUR Sports, FITUR Talent, FITUR TechY, and the FITURNEXT
Observatory.
Madrid,
3 July 2025 – FITUR, the International Tourism Trade Fair, to be held from 21
to 25 January 2026 at IFEMA MADRID, is expanding its technological dimension
with the launch of the Knowledge Hub. Located in Hall 12, this new space will
bring together forward-thinking companies from around the globe that are
shaping the future of tourism through innovation and digital transformation.
During
the professional days — Wednesday 21, Thursday 22, and Friday 23 January — Hall
12 will host hundreds of sessions featuring international experts exchanging
experiences and showcasing best practices that define emerging trends in
tourism. With this initiative, FITUR strengthens its commitment to the
dissemination of knowledge and technology, ensuring greater accessibility for
companies, destinations, and professionals.
The
Knowledge Hub: epicentre of Travel Technology and tourism innovation
The
Travel Technology area, hosted within the Knowledge Hub, has grown by over 35%
compared to the previous year and will feature more than 100 companies from 20
countries. This underlines the central role technology plays in transforming
the global tourism industry. FITUR TechY, organised in collaboration with the
Spanish Hotel Technology Institute (ITH), will also be based here. Leading
companies such as Amadeus, Travelgate, BeonX, Duetto, Ratehawk, and Mirai will
showcase their innovations in Hall 12, positioning the Knowledge Hub as one of
the fair’s most dynamic new features.
Additionally,
the Knowledge Hub will serve as the main venue for several of FITUR’s
specialised initiatives, including FITUR Know-How & Export, FITUR Sports,
FITUR Talent, and the FITURNEXT Sustainability Observatory.
Strategic
location and enhanced visitor flow
Hall
12 is strategically positioned in the southeast corner of the Trade Fair
Centre, now offering a direct entrance to FITUR. A new corridor will link Halls
4 and 12, helping to optimise and redistribute the flow of professional
visitors throughout the venue.
This
layout further reinforces the Knowledge Hub’s role as a central innovation and
networking space, providing a dynamic and accessible environment that enhances
the visibility of all activities and exhibitors located there — with a focus on
industry professionals.
This
configuration also enables the creation of a specialised and exclusive
professional environment, open only on working days, while weekend offerings
for the general public will be concentrated in the remaining eight halls.
Nine
halls showcasing the global tourism ecosystem
The
46th edition of FITUR will occupy nine halls — 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 12
— featuring the most innovative and comprehensive global offering across the
tourism value chain. Public and private entities involved in destinations,
accommodation, travel agencies and tour operators, technology, transportation,
and related services will be represented.
