Tourexpi
Set
across 18 acres in the Aravalli Hills, the palace features 327 rooms and
suites, eight dining venues, seven event spaces, and a 12,000 sq. ft. wellness
sanctuary. Designed to evoke the majesty of Rajasthan’s forts, the hotel draws
on traditional Mewar architecture, incorporating hand-carved stone, courtyards,
pavilions, and intricate local craftsmanship such as thikri mirror inlay work.
The
property’s design centers on three themed wings—Surya Mahal (Sun), Chandra
Mahal (Moon), and Agni Mahal (Fire)—each offering a distinct ambiance.
Signature suites such as the Jewel of Udaipur and Royal Maharaja Suite offer
plunge pools, panoramic terraces, and regal interiors. The palace also
showcases Rajasthani art and supports local artisans and villages.
Dining
options include Bahaar (Indian soul food), Dahaad (a leopard-inspired bar), and
Sitara (a rooftop cocktail venue), with two more concepts—Celeste and The
Alchemist—set to open later this year.
The
palace boasts over 140,000 sq. ft. of event space, including grand ballrooms,
ceremonial courtyards, a stepwell amphitheatre, and panoramic terraces for
private events and weddings.
Wellness
offerings at the Fairmont Spa include therapies inspired by the sun’s daily
cycle, aromatherapy rituals, and energy meridian massages. A helipad and
activity zone with mini golf, pickleball, and ziplining round out the guest
experience.
“Fairmont
Udaipur Palace is more than a hotel—it is a destination in itself, a tribute to
heritage and a promise to India’s future in luxury tourism,” said Somesh
Agarwal, Chairman of ROCKWOOD Hotels & Keystone. General Manager Vishrut
Gupta added, “Our vision was to create a living palace—an emotional, cultural,
and sensory journey for every guest.”
