Priority
and Comfort for Families
Children
traveling with Emirates enjoy priority boarding at all international airports.
Onboard, child-friendly meals are available on most routes, featuring dishes
such as pasta, mini burgers, and healthy snacks. Meals are served on special
trays decorated with Emirates-themed characters.
For
rest and relaxation, Emirates provides blankets and pillows for children in all
classes.
Entertainment
and Activities
Emirates’
inflight entertainment system, ice, offers a dedicated children’s section with
over 100 films and numerous television programs from popular networks like
Cartoon Network, CBeebies, and Nickelodeon. Featured collections include 16
Harry Potter titles, a range of Marvel films, and series such as Teen Titans Go
and SpongeBob SquarePants. Music lovers have access to a wide selection of
tracks, including curated playlists and Spotify integration. The airline also
offers up to 100 video games, some of which support multiplayer mode between
passengers.
Activity
packs, including puzzles, drawing guides, world maps, and collectible cards,
are available for children who prefer screen-free entertainment.
New
Bags and Travel Kits
Children
aged 7 to 12 can collect a new range of Emirates-branded bags, including
backpacks, crossbody bags, and duffle bags. Younger children receive separate
age-appropriate travel kits and toys.
Cabin
crew also help create travel memories by taking Polaroid photographs onboard,
which are given to families in a limited-edition photo frame.
Special
Services at Dubai International Airport (DXB)
At
Terminal 3, Emirates offers complimentary branded strollers for use within the
airport. More than 1,000 Maxi-Cosi strollers are being added to accommodate
traveling families. During peak summer weekends (Friday to Sunday, 12–6 p.m.
until 20 July), Emirates distributes free ice cream at four designated carts
throughout the departure area, offering flavors such as mango, chocolate,
strawberry, and sorbet options.
The
airport’s First and Business Class lounges feature dedicated children’s play
areas with arcade games and PlayStations. Family check-in counters are also
available to reduce wait times during busy travel periods.
Unaccompanied
Minors Programme
Emirates
offers a dedicated Unaccompanied Minors service for children aged 5 to 11
traveling alone. Staff provide assistance throughout the journey—from check-in
and security to onboard care and arrival support at the destination. While
waiting for flights, children can use the airline’s Unaccompanied Minors
Lounge, which includes video games, free snacks, Wi-Fi, and child-only
restrooms.
Infant
Services
For
infants under two, Emirates provides organic baby food, formula, bottles, and
an infant amenity kit that includes diapers, a bib, lotion, and a changing mat.
Parents can reserve seats with bassinets or bring approved car seats onboard.
Dedicated facilities for feeding and changing are available in the First and
Business Class lounges.
Onboard
Retail and Loyalty Programme
Children
and teens can explore inflight shopping through EmiratesRED, with pre-order
discounts available using the code RED10. Products include kids’ cameras,
fitness bands, and accessories from popular brands like Sol de Janeiro and
Tommy Hilfiger.
Young
travelers between the ages of 2 and 17 are encouraged to join the Emirates
Skysurfers loyalty programme, which allows them to earn and redeem Skywards
Miles for future flights, upgrades, and child-friendly experiences.
