Sun
Siyam Resorts celebrates 35 years of Maldivian hospitality with a milestone
brand transformation. More than a visual refresh, this brand (r)evolution
introduces a new identity anchored in The Home of the Maldivian Spirit,
reaffirming the group’s position as one of the Maldives’ most culturally
authentic resort operators. Guests can now enjoy newly launched Signature
Experiences across all six resorts, alongside the introduction of Siyam
Rewards, a loyalty programme designed to strengthen direct relationships with
travellers.
Unified
Portfolio: The House of Siyam
All
five Maldivian resorts and the boutique property in Sri Lanka are now brought
together under The House of Siyam. To offer clarity for guests and partners,
the resorts are organized into three distinct collections:
·
Luxury Collection: Elevated by the
elements, delivering the highest calibre of island indulgence. Leading the
collection is Sun Siyam Iru Fushi, an icon of premium exclusivity.
·
Lifestyle Collection: Vibrant,
energetic, and designed for adventure. Sun Siyam Olhuveli and Siyam World offer
diverse experiences for families, friends, and couples alike.
·
Privé Collection: Intimate barefoot
hideaways focused on privacy and bespoke comfort. Sun Siyam Iru Veli, Sun Siyam
Vilu Reef, and Sun Siyam Pasikudah in Sri Lanka define this soulful escape.
Signature
Experiences
Central
to the transformation is a suite of Signature Experiences, designed to immerse
guests in Maldivian culture and creativity:
·
Maldivian Roots: Weekly culinary and
cultural journeys celebrating island heritage
·
Insta Villa: The Maldives’ first
overwater photo studio for unique and sharable moments
·
Sun Siyam Beach Club: Afternoons of
relaxation transform into evenings of music and dance beneath glowing skies
·
Other highlights include the
ceremonial Wow Welcome, Hidden Treasure Chests, Plant Based Bliss dining, and Moonlit
Cinemas, each enriching the guest journey with unexpected moments of joy.
Siyam
Rewards and Sustainability
The
launch of Siyam Rewards strengthens direct guest engagement with personalised
itineraries, room upgrades, and optional carbon offsets. Rewards begin from the
very first booking. Every stay continues to support marine conservation and
community projects under the Sun Siyam Care sustainability platform.
Voices
from Sun Siyam
Hon.
Ahmed Siyam Mohamed, Founder, Owner & Managing Director:
“When
we founded Sun Siyam in 1990, and later opened our first resort in 1998, our
goal was simple: to share the warmth of our islands and our people with the
world. This transformation preserves that soul while creating space to innovate
for the next generation of free-spirited travellers.”
Deepak
Booneady, Chief Executive Officer:
“This
rebrand is not just about design, it is about experience – cultural
authenticity, purpose-driven hospitality, and creating moments that spark joy.
With the Maldives’ widest choice of villas, the region’s most generous premium
all-inclusive plan, and now our Signature Experiences, we are setting the stage
for the future of island travel.”
A
Modern Yet Authentic Identity
The
redesigned website www.sunsiyam.com showcases the refreshed brand identity
across print, digital, and guest experiences. The new look combines modern
design with an unmistakably Maldivian spirit.
The
transformation was guided by leading experts: JHAGGER&CO as lead brand
advisors; StudioSixty7, London-based creative directors Lee McNichol and Jose
Rivero, for interior refinement; and hospitality pioneer Dominik Ruhl for
operational standards and experience design. Supported by VP of Operations
Abdulla Thamheed, General Managers, Resort Managers, and the brand’s sales,
marketing and PR teams, the result is a vibrant design system that blends
cultural authenticity with a confident contemporary edge.
