The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) concluded the TAT x LOT Polish Airlines familiarisation trip with a Tabletop Sale in Bangkok today, connecting Thai tourism suppliers with Polish travel partners ahead of LOT Polish Airlines’ inaugural direct Warsaw–Bangkok service on 7 October 2026.
Ms. Suladda Sarutilavan, Executive Director of the TAT Europe Region, said, “Poland is one of Thailand’s rising European markets, and the new Warsaw–Bangkok service creates a direct gateway from Central Europe to Thailand. Through this Tabletop Sale, TAT is connecting Thai suppliers with Polish travel partners to translate strong interest into tangible travel demand and reinforce Thailand’s position as a preferred long-haul destination for Polish travellers.”
LOT Polish Airlines will launch the Warsaw–Bangkok service on 7 October 2026 with three weekly flights, increasing to five weekly frequencies from 26 October 2026 throughout the winter 2026/2027 season. The approximately 10-hour 20-minute route will be operated by Boeing 787 Dreamliners aircraft with 252 seats. The airline has reported strong interest among Polish travellers, with substantial reservations already recorded on its website for the inaugural flight.
The new route strengthens direct access between Thailand and Poland, giving travellers an alternative to itineraries that previously required connections through major European or Middle Eastern gateways. It also supports Thailand’s wider efforts to expand long-haul access from Central Europe.
To support the route launch, TAT placed the Tabletop Sale at the centre of the four-day Bangkok programme, creating a dedicated platform for Thai tourism operators and Polish travel trade representatives to exchange market insights, present travel products, and develop opportunities for the upcoming winter season.
The familiarisation trip brought 10 delegates to Bangkok, comprising two LOT Polish Airlines executives and representatives from leading Polish travel companies, including Almatur, Best Reisen, eSKY, eTravel, Flugo, Hurra, Profitravel, and Weco-travel.
Ahead of the Tabletop Sale, the programme introduced Bangkok’s cultural heritage, Thai wellness traditions, local lifestyles, cuisine, hotel products, riverside experiences, and contemporary attractions. Highlights included the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, Wat Pho, Pak Khlong Talat, a Thai flower garland workshop, a canal tour to Khlong Bang Luang community, a Thai spa experience, a tuk tuk night tour, Yaowarat, ICONSIAM, Mahanakhon SkyWalk, and inspections at leading Bangkok hotels.
Poland continues to show strong growth potential for Thailand. In 2025, Thailand welcomed 237,570 Polish visitors, up 31.46% from 2024. From 1 January to 18 May 2026, Polish arrivals reached 137,772, an increase of 17.08% over the same period in 2025. The new direct Warsaw–Bangkok route is expected to generate approximately 47,000 visitors and 3.196 billion Baht in tourism revenue during the winter 2026/2027. Furthermore, TAT forecasts a continued growth to around 49,000 visitors and approximately 3.3 billion Baht in revenue during the winter season of 2027–2028.
Polish travellers are among Thailand’s promising European markets, with strong interest in Bangkok, Krabi, Ko Samui, and Chiang Mai. Their average length of stay is around 14 days, and they spend about 68,800 Baht/person/trip. This is supporting Thailand’s strategy to grow quality tourism through longer stays, higher-value travel experiences, and stronger regional distribution.
