Thailand’s largest MICE venue, the IMPACT Exhibition
and Convention Center, has unveiled an ambitious expansion plan to reinforce
its standing as a leading global hub for meetings, incentives, conventions, and
exhibitions. The first phase of the project will introduce two new hotels—one
of them Hilton-branded—adding 1,000 rooms to the complex.
The investment, valued at up to THB 5 billion (USD 154
million), is part of a long-term vision to expand Muang Thong Thani’s total
accommodation capacity to 5,000 rooms within five years. This development
responds to increasing demand from international event organizers and business
travelers as Thailand continues to attract major global exhibitions,
conferences, and entertainment events.
Strengthening IMPACT’s Hospitality Portfolio
IMPACT currently operates two hotels on-site: the Novotel
Bangkok IMPACT (380 rooms) and the ibis Bangkok IMPACT (587 rooms). The
addition of a Hilton property and its sister hotel will elevate the venue’s
hospitality offerings, providing world-class standards and greater flexibility
for MICE delegates and visitors.
A Strategic Partnership for the Future
This expansion aligns with Thailand’s ambition to
advance its 100-billion-Baht entertainment complex mega-project, designed to
boost the country’s competitiveness in business events and tourism. By
partnering with Hilton, IMPACT takes a transformative step toward becoming a fully
integrated destination capable of hosting some of the world’s most prestigious
events.
Expanding Thailand’s Premier Event Hub
With more than 140,000 square meters of event space,
advanced facilities, and an expanding hotel portfolio, IMPACT is poised to
strengthen its position as Thailand’s premier international hub for business
events, conventions, and large-scale entertainment.
