TUI Blue is expanding its focus on wellness travel in
Asia, highlighting two hotels in Bali and Cambodia where wellbeing activities
are integrated throughout the guest experience rather than offered solely
through traditional spa treatments. TUI Blue Berawa in Bali and TUI Blue Angkor
Grace in Siem Reap combine movement, relaxation, nutrition and locally
influenced rituals with conventional leisure holidays.
The concept is based on four wellbeing pillars – Feel,
Move, Nourish and Rest. Activities range from yoga and sound healing to
recovery facilities, mindful rituals and healthy dining. Guests can choose
individual elements without having to book a dedicated wellness retreat, making
the programmes accessible to travellers who want to incorporate wellbeing into
a broader holiday.
“As wellness continues to evolve from a niche trend
into an increasingly important part of travel, TUI Blue Berawa and TUI Blue
Angkor Grace demonstrate how meaningful wellbeing experiences can be
effortlessly incorporated into a holiday,” says Ian Hill, Head of Product TUI
Blue. The two properties are being positioned particularly for European
travellers looking for tropical alternatives during the autumn and winter
months.
Bali combines movement and recovery
At TUI Blue Berawa, the programme draws on Bali’s
established reputation as an international wellness destination. The hotel
structures its experiences around the themes Stay, Play, Connect and Reset,
combining individual relaxation with physical activity and social elements.
One of its regular experiences is the weekly Sundown
Ritual. At sunset, guests write down thoughts or worries they want to leave
behind before symbolically releasing them as part of a shared ceremony. Sunrise
and sunset yoga sessions provide another way of incorporating wellbeing
activities into the rhythm of a conventional resort stay.
The hotel also operates a Social Wellness Zone
alongside its padel facilities. A sauna and ice plunge allow guests to combine
sport with recovery while retaining the social character of the resort. The
approach reflects TUI Blue’s aim of moving wellness beyond isolated treatment
rooms and integrating it into different parts of the holiday experience.
Cambodian traditions shape Siem Reap stay
TUI Blue Angkor Grace in Siem Reap follows a similar
philosophy while incorporating elements inspired by Cambodian traditions. Its
programme includes yoga, sound healing and traditional wellness practices
alongside dedicated relaxation and recovery areas.
Guests can select activities according to their own
interests and pace rather than following a fixed retreat schedule. Wellbeing
specialists are available to help identify suitable experiences, while
nourishing cuisine and spaces designed for relaxation complement the organised
sessions.
The location also allows wellness to form part of a
wider Cambodia holiday. Siem Reap is the principal gateway to the temples of
Angkor, giving travellers the opportunity to combine cultural exploration with
periods of rest and recovery at the hotel.
Both properties illustrate a broader shift in the way
TUI Blue is approaching the segment. Wellness is treated as one component of
the overall stay, alongside food, activities, destination experiences and
social interaction, rather than as a separate product reserved for specialist
travellers.
The hotel brand is already examining additional
destinations and wellness experiences. Further wellbeing-focused elements are
planned for TUI Blue properties in other parts of the world, extending a
concept that seeks to make wellness a more regular part of leisure travel.
