Karin
will join the new executive leadership team tasked with developing and
repositioning the iconic 127-year-old brand, under the stewardship of Barbara
Muckermann, Kempinski’s Group Chief Executive Officer.

In
her role as Chief Human Resources Officer for Kempinski Hotels, Karin will
oversee all aspects of human resource management including talent management
and acquisition, performance management, compensation and benefits, succession
planning, compliance, learning and development and social impact, thus ensuring
Kempinski is a global leader and first choice for top-tier talent.

With
a career spanning over 20 years in Human Resources in the luxury goods and
fashion industry, Karin previously held the esteemed position of Senior Vice
President of Human Resources for LVMH in China. Based in Shanghai since 2022,
Karin led a robust team of over 35 department heads across the Human Resources
vertical. Additionally, Karin was a member of the LVMH Global Tech Board, a
project team focused on leveraging data and systems to transform Human
Resources.
Previously,
Karin held other prestigious roles within LVMH including Vice President, Talent
Management and Corporate Social Responsibility at LVMH North America in New
York City and Global Head of Career Management for LVMH, based in Paris. Karin
also served as VP, Global Talent for Christian Dior Couture, based in Paris.
Karin
holds a Master of Human Resources from ISC Paris and is a Member of the
International Strategic Committee at ISC Paris.
Karin’s
appointment as Kempinski’s new Chief Human Resources Officer follows the recent
appointments of Gordon
Drake as Chief Financial Officer and Rasha
Lababidi as Chief Product Officer, heralding a new beginning for
Kempinski Hotels.
