The winners of the TUI Global Hotel Awards 2026 have
been announced, recognising hotels that delivered exceptional holiday
experiences to TUI guests around the world. More than 20 million travellers
contributed to the results, which highlight excellence across 22 categories
ranging from boutique properties to large resorts and sustainability leaders.
The awards were presented during a dedicated event in
Berlin on 2 March, bringing together hotel partners and industry
representatives from across TUI’s global network.
“In a market shaped by rising expectations and rapid
change, these hotels haven’t just delivered – they’ve inspired,” said Sebastian
Ebel, CEO of TUI Group. “Their commitment to exceptional service and
unforgettable guest experiences sets a global benchmark.”
Awards programme updated for 2026
For the 2026 edition, TUI expanded and refined its
award categories to better reflect current travel trends. New lifestyle-focused
distinctions and updated regional groupings aim to capture the diversity of
hotels across TUI’s portfolio.
“We’ve evolved the programme to stay in tune with what
matters most to travellers today,” said Stefan Baumert, Chief Commercial
Officer Markets. “These new categories allow us to recognise excellence across
a wider range of hotel types, styles and guest expectations.”
Twenty of the 22 awards are based exclusively on
feedback from TUI guests through post-stay surveys. Only hotels that achieve a
top-10-percent customer satisfaction score from more than 13,000 participating
properties qualify. Two special honours – Sustainability and Lifetime
Achievement – are selected by expert panels.
New lifestyle categories highlight guest preferences
The updated programme introduces several
lifestyle-focused categories recognising hotels that excel in areas
increasingly important to travellers.
TUI MAGIC LIFE Sarigerme received the award in the
Family Friendly category, praised for its beachfront location and wide range of
activities and dining options for families.
Liberty Hotels Lykia Adults Only was recognised in the
Food & Gastronomy category, highlighting its extensive fine-dining offer
across seven restaurants.
The Customer Service award went to Mike’s Hotel &
Apartments, noted for its personal, family-run hospitality and high levels of
guest satisfaction.
Global awards recognise top-performing hotels
Two new global distinctions were introduced to
recognise different hotel types. Lindos Blu Luxury Hotel & Suites received
the title Best Boutique Hotel Globally, while TUI BLUE Sarigerme Park was named
Best Large Hotel Globally.
Both properties achieved the highest customer
satisfaction scores across all TUI markets in their respective categories.
Lifetime Achievement Award for Abel Matutes Tur
The Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Abel
Matutes Tur, co-founder and president of Sirenis Hotels & Resorts, in
recognition of his long-standing contribution to the hospitality sector.
Since founding the company with his brother Vicente in
1967, Matutes has helped build Sirenis into an international resort brand with
properties in Spain, the Dominican Republic, Mexico and Colombia.
“The success of our award-winning hotels is driven by
dedicated teams who work relentlessly to create exceptional experiences for our
mutual guests,” said David Schelp, CEO Markets + Airline at TUI.
Regional winners across TUI markets
Among the regional winners, TUI BLUE Barut Andiz was
named best hotel for the Nordic markets, the UK and Ireland as well as Germany,
Austria and Switzerland. TUI BLUE Palm Garden received the award for the
Netherlands, while Rixos Sharm El Sheikh Adults Only was recognised for
Belgium.
Iconique Club Marmara Del Mar was honoured for the
French market, and TUI MAGIC LIFE Sarigerme won the award for Poland and the
Czech Republic. H10 Croma Málaga received the distinction for city hotels.
