Delta Air Lines has opened a new Delta Sky Club at
Denver International Airport, expanding its premium ground experience in the
Mountain West. The lounge is located on the fourth floor of Concourse A and
offers 13,000 square feet of space with seating for 230 guests.
Designed as a calm retreat for travelers, the new Club
features a spacious layout with several seating areas, a premium bar inspired
by Denver’s historic Union Station, and a media room with large screens. Guests
also have access to two buffet stations and a large beverage area offering
coffee, tea and soft drinks.
Design inspired by Colorado
The lounge’s design draws heavily on Colorado’s
landscapes and culture. Natural materials such as live-edge wood and stone echo
the region’s mountainous terrain, while colors and textures reference
wildflowers, soil and rock formations.
Artwork from local artists further reinforces the
regional identity, with pieces depicting horseback riders, open landscapes and
other scenes inspired by Colorado.
The culinary concept also highlights local influences.
Alongside seasonal dishes, the menu includes regional specialties such as Chile
Colorado, prepared onsite. Ingredients from Colorado producers, including
Olathe sweet corn, Palisade peaches and Rocky Ford melon, are featured when in
season.
The premium bar introduces new craft cocktails such as
an Elderflower Gin and Tonic and a Yuzu Margarita, which will gradually be
added to other Sky Clubs.
Expansion planned by the end of the year
Delta plans to expand the lounge later this year by an
additional 6,000 square feet, increasing the total size to more than 19,000
square feet and capacity to around 400 seats. The expansion will include
another beverage station and a dedicated business lounge with printers and
soundproof phone booths.
“This Delta Sky Club is one of our most thoughtful
designs yet — built to satisfy how our Denver customers want to feel and move
throughout their journey,” said Claude Roussel, vice president of Delta Sky
Club and lounge experience.
Delta strengthens presence in Denver
Delta has served the Denver market for nearly 50
years, initially operating from Stapleton International Airport before moving
to Denver International Airport when it opened in 1995.
In 2026 the airline plans its largest schedule ever
from Denver, with nearly 40 peak-day departures to more than ten destinations
including Austin and all of Delta’s U.S. hubs.
Delta continues to invest in its lounge network across
the United States. New Sky Clubs are planned in Jacksonville in 2027, Tampa in
2028 and Las Vegas in 2029, while another lounge is scheduled to open in Fort
Myers in 2028.
