The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection has announced its
summer 2027 itineraries for the yacht Luminara, featuring voyages across Alaska
and Asia between April and October. The season includes 21 journeys, with 15
sailings in Alaska, four in Asia and two transcontinental crossings.
Following its debut Alaska season this year, Luminara
will return with an expanded program sailing mainly between Vancouver in Canada
and Whittier in Alaska. Many itineraries include scenic cruising through the
Inside Passage and Tracy Arm Fjord, offering views of glaciers, forests and
wildlife.
Smaller ports and immersive experiences
Thanks to its smaller size, the yacht can access
quieter ports such as Wrangell and Klawock, allowing guests to explore remote
areas with fewer crowds. Some sailings coincide with bear season and the salmon
run, offering opportunities for wildlife observation.
Onboard programs include talks with guest experts such
as naturalists and historians, as well as culinary experiences inspired by the
region. Shore excursions range from glacier flights and wilderness landings to
small-group Zodiac tours.
New destinations in Asia
The 2027 season also introduces new ports and
itineraries in Asia. Seoul will serve as a new turnaround port, while Tianjin
in China will offer access to Beijing. Northern Japan joins the program with
inaugural calls in Otaru and Akita.
Selected voyages include overnight stays in Otaru,
allowing guests to explore the city’s historic canal district, seafood culture
and artisan crafts.
Luxury yacht launched in 2025
Luminara, launched in July 2025, is the third
superyacht in The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection fleet. The vessel features 226
suites for up to 452 guests, each with a private oceanview terrace, along with
multiple restaurants, spa facilities and outdoor leisure areas.
