New
openings in Cancun, Guadalajara, Ciudad Juarez, San Luis Potosi, Torreon, and
Nuevo Laredo will add 848 rooms to IHG’s portfolio, strengthening the brand’s
presence in Mexico’s largest markets.
IHG
Hotels & Resorts (IHG), in partnership with Alliance Hotels, has announced
the signing of six new properties for its premium voco hotels brand in Mexico.
The conversions, scheduled to open in 2027, will extend IHG’s upscale offering
across the country and introduce voco hotels to several high-demand
destinations.
Strategic
growth across Mexico
The
six hotels will open in major commercial hubs: Cancun, Guadalajara, Ciudad
Juarez, San Luis Potosi, Torreon, and Nuevo Laredo. Together, they will add 848
rooms to voco hotels’ footprint in Mexico, which currently includes four
operating and five pipeline properties. Globally, the brand counts 102 hotels
in its pipeline, reflecting strong demand for conversions and accelerated
expansion.
Significant
renovations will bring the brand’s hallmarks to life, including lively social
spaces, a distinct arrival experience, and thoughtful touches designed to
create an instantly welcoming atmosphere.
