Following
the success of NoMad London, which opened in 2021, this new venture will bring
the brand’s signature blend of sophistication, world-class dining, and cultural
immersion to Singapore’s vibrant Orchard Road.
A
Luxurious Addition to Singapore’s Hospitality Scene
Located
in the heart of Orchard Road, Singapore’s premier shopping and entertainment
district, NoMad Singapore will feature 173 elegantly designed rooms, offering a
refined yet eclectic approach to luxury hospitality. Guests will experience a
blend of classic and contemporary elements, with bespoke local artworks in
every room and curated dining experiences that reflect the city’s rich cultural
tapestry.
Alan
Watts, President, Asia Pacific, Hilton, expressed his excitement about the
project:
“This
signing adds a new and significant dimension to Hilton’s phenomenal growth
story in Asia Pacific, as we gain a critical foothold in the luxury lifestyle
space. With demand for high-end, experience-driven stays surging across the
region, the luxury gateway of Singapore offers the perfect backdrop to debut
NoMad’s uniquely local luxury hospitality.”
Blending
Luxury with Local Culture
NoMad
hotels are known for their unique balance of grandeur and intimacy,
sophistication and playfulness. Andrew Zobler, Founder & CEO of The Sydell
Group, emphasized the brand's philosophy:
“NoMad
is built on the concept of a hotel as a welcoming home filled with stories,
where every detail – from its interiors to its curated dining experiences –
comes to life. The signing of our first hotel in Singapore marks an exciting
introduction of our brand to Asia Pacific.”
The
hotel will seamlessly integrate into the local landscape, connecting guests
with nearby heritage enclaves such as Arab Street, Bugis, and Chinatown, while
also offering easy access to Singapore’s luxury retail and lifestyle hubs.
Transforming
Orchard Road into a Luxury Lifestyle Destination
Liam
Wee Sin, Chief Executive of UOL Group, highlighted the significance of the
partnership:
“We
are excited to introduce NoMad to Singapore as part of our placemaking vision
for Orchard Road. Together with UPPERHOUSE at Orchard Boulevard and Pan Pacific
Orchard, NoMad will help transform the area into a luxury lifestyle hub.”
UOL
COO Neo Soon Hup added:
“NoMad
Singapore will bring together modern elegance and the city’s dynamic cultural
energy, offering a distinct experience that reflects the brand’s character. We
look forward to making NoMad a standout presence in the market.”
Expanding
Hilton’s Luxury Portfolio in Asia Pacific
The
introduction of NoMad Singapore aligns with Hilton’s strategy to expand its
luxury footprint to 150 hotels in the Asia Pacific region. In the next two
years, Hilton plans to open Waldorf Astoria properties in key cities such as
Kuala Lumpur, Sydney, Shanghai, Tokyo, Xi’an, and Hanoi. Conrad Hotels &
Resorts will also see growth in China and Japan. Additionally, Hilton has
introduced LXR Hotels & Resorts to Southeast Asia with Umana Bali and ROKU
KYOTO in Japan.
NoMad
Singapore will be part of Hilton Honors, the award-winning guest loyalty
program for Hilton’s 24 hotel brands. Members booking through Hilton’s
preferred channels will enjoy exclusive benefits such as flexible payment
options, member discounts, free Wi-Fi, and access to the Hilton Honors mobile
app.
This
landmark project not only marks NoMad’s debut in Asia Pacific but also
reinforces Singapore’s status as a premier luxury travel destination.
