Emirates,
the world’s largest international airline, has expanded its global retail
footprint with the launch of its first Travel Store in Seoul, establishing a
new benchmark in travel retail and underlining its commitment to delivering
innovative customer experiences in one of its most important East Asian
markets.
The
Emirates Travel Store officially opened on 9 July, with senior executives in
attendance, including Nabil Sultan, Executive Vice President for Passenger
Sales and Country Management; Orhan Abbas, Senior Vice President for Commercial
Operations in the Far East; and Jim Chang, Country Manager for South Korea. The
ceremony also welcomed His Excellency Abdulla Saif Ali Al Nuaimi, UAE
Ambassador to the Republic of Korea, alongside distinguished guests and media
partners.
Nabil
Sultan remarked:
“As
we mark 20 years of operations in South Korea, the opening of our travel store
in Seoul not only celebrates our decades-long journey but also brings our
reimagined travel retail experience to Korean travelers. This space is designed
to enhance the customer journey through innovative, localized
solutions—translating our ‘Fly Better’ promise into a tangible, immersive
experience.”
First
Class Luxury Comes to Seoul
Situated
in the heart of Jongno-gu, one of Seoul’s most vibrant business and lifestyle
districts, the Emirates Travel Store offers a dedicated space to explore the
airline’s premium products and services in an elegant setting inspired by its
onboard interiors.
Covering
132 square meters, the store reflects the warmth and refined aesthetics of
Emirates’ premium cabins. Soft beige tones, ambient lighting, and the Ghaf Tree
motif—an emblematic and culturally significant evergreen native to the
UAE—create a welcoming atmosphere. Lounge-style seating areas echo the feel of
Emirates’ airport lounges, blending comfort and sophistication.
A
standout feature is the First Class Private Suite, offering guests a chance to
experience one of Emirates’ most iconic luxury products up close. Visitors can
also engage with expert travel consultants at dedicated counters for flight
bookings, itinerary planning, and personalized travel recommendations.
The
experience is further enriched by smart digital tools, including a self-service
kiosk, an interactive selfie mirror, and dynamic displays featuring the latest
Emirates destinations, offers, and cabin innovations.
Celebrating
20 Years of Connecting Korea to the World
Since
beginning operations in 2005, Emirates has connected South Korea with the world
through more than 14,000 flights and over 5 million passengers traveling
between Seoul and Dubai. Today, the airline operates 10 weekly services and
features its newly retrofitted Boeing 777-300ER on the EK324/325 routes,
offering Premium Economy and an upgraded Business Class.
Emirates
remains firmly committed to delivering world-class service, expanding global
connectivity, and deepening its partnerships within the Korean market.
