Emirates is raising a toast to Oktoberfest this
autumn, bringing Bavarian traditions to passengers travelling between Dubai and
Germany. Across all cabins, in the A380 Onboard Lounge, and in its lounges at
Munich, Frankfurt, Hamburg, and Düsseldorf, the airline is serving up classic
Bavarian flavours and festive experiences.
Oktoberfest in the air
Onboard, menus across First, Business, and Economy
Class will feature German favourites:
·
First Class guests can enjoy poached Alaskan king crab, mushroom-stuffed
chicken with bread dumplings, or braised veal shank, followed by
Kaiserschmarren or apple strudel. A new “movie snack” of smoked meats, Obatzda,
cheese, radish, and pretzel adds a seasonal twist.
·
Business Class diners are offered dishes such as duck liver terrine,
braised beef short ribs, and baked cheesecake with blueberry compote.
·
Economy Class passengers can savour German potato salad, chicken sausage
roll with onion jus and sauerkraut, or baked chicken with paprika cream,
finishing with Black Forest cake.
·
All customers departing Dubai will receive a festive gingerbread heart
as a seasonal gift.
A380 Onboard Lounge treats
Sandwiches and snacks take a Bavarian turn with cream
cheese and chives, roast beef with gherkins, Emmental on laugen bread, and
chicken leberkäse rolls, alongside the classic pretzel. Sweet options include
gingerbread cookies, Black Forest cake, and Krapfen with vanilla custard.
Lounges in Germany join the celebration
In Emirates’ airport lounges, Oktoberfest dishes such
as Käsepätzle, Wurstsalat, Obatzda with pretzels, chicken sausages with
sauerkraut, and Bavarian potato salad will be paired with Oktoberfest beer.
Entertainment with a German note
Emirates’ inflight entertainment system ice will
feature 22 German films, 350 Hollywood movies dubbed in German, and 31 German
music playlists and albums.
Celebrating across Germany
Oktoberfest-themed menus and entertainment will be
offered on Emirates’ three daily flights to Frankfurt and double daily services
to Munich, Düsseldorf, and Hamburg.
