Delta
Air Lines has officially inaugurated its new nonstop route between Boston (BOS)
and Barcelona (BCN), further expanding its transatlantic network and
reinforcing its presence in Spain. The service will operate three times weekly
and complements Delta’s existing connections to Barcelona from New York-JFK (12
weekly flights) and Atlanta (10 weekly flights).
Barcelona,
a perennial favorite among global travelers, is celebrated for its unique blend
of history, architecture, and coastal charm. From the iconic works of Antoni
Gaudí to the bustling streets of the Gothic Quarter and the vibrant food scene,
the city stands out as one of Europe’s most dynamic cultural destinations.
Unsurprisingly, it ranks among the top ten most searched destinations on
Delta.com for summer 2025.
Flights
on the new route will be operated with a 281-seat Airbus A330-900neo, featuring
four distinct cabin experiences: Delta One®, Delta Premium Select, Delta
Comfort+, and Main Cabin. In Delta One, passengers can enjoy lie-flat beds,
chef-curated meals, Taittinger Champagne, and upgraded amenity kits and bedding
in partnership with Italian fashion house Missoni.
Delta
Premium Select offers increased comfort and space, while passengers in Delta
Comfort+ and the Main Cabin benefit from attentive service and curated inflight
entertainment. Across all cabins, travelers have access to Delta Studio with
over 1,000 hours of content, and fast, free Wi-Fi powered by T-Mobile on all
transatlantic flights.
Delta
also continues to serve Spain’s capital, Madrid, with daily nonstop flights
from both New York-JFK and Atlanta. These routes offer seamless access to a
city renowned for its art museums, culinary excellence, and vibrant nightlife.
“Barcelona
and Madrid aren’t just destinations, they’re vibrant gateways to everything
Spain has to offer,” said Matteo Curcio, Delta’s Senior Vice President for
Europe, Middle East, Africa and India. “From world-class cuisine and wine to
flamenco rhythms and architectural wonders, these cities connect travelers to
unforgettable adventures.”
With
the addition of Boston–Barcelona, Delta now offers even greater choice for
travelers seeking to explore Spain. Book now at delta.com.
