Miles & More, the
Lufthansa Group’s loyalty program, and Marriott Bonvoy, Marriott
International’s award-winning travel platform, have entered into a strategic
partnership that expands benefits for more than 36 million Miles & More
members worldwide.
With immediate effect, members
can earn up to 120 Miles & More Qualifying Points per year toward frequent
flyer status when staying at Marriott Bonvoy hotels — in addition to the points
they already earn on flights. At the same time, Senators and HON Circle Members
automatically receive Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite status, unlocking exclusive
benefits without additional qualification requirements.
A milestone in loyalty
strategy
“Our groundbreaking
partnership with Marriott Bonvoy opens up a whole new world of experiences for
our customers,” said Dieter Vranckx, Chief Commercial Officer of the Lufthansa
Group. “This milestone is an important step in our comprehensive loyalty
strategy, which focuses on exclusive travel and lifestyle benefits. By offering
our members privileged access to one of the world's leading hotel loyalty
programs, we are delivering a truly unique value proposition and strengthening
customer loyalty for both partners.”
“Marriott Bonvoy and Miles
& More each represent excellence in their respective spheres — hospitality
and aviation. This partnership is a fantastic alignment of two trusted names,
united by a shared commitment to enriching the travel experience,” said Satya
Anand, President, Europe, Middle East & Africa, Marriott International.
“Together, we are unlocking distinctive benefits for our members, offering them
greater flexibility, recognition, and reward.”
Earn Miles & More Points
on hotel stays
For the first time, members
can link their Miles & More and Marriott Bonvoy accounts online to earn 40
Miles & More Points per eligible stay, up to a maximum of 120 points per
year. These points contribute to achieving or maintaining status levels, though
at least 50% of qualifying points must still be earned on Lufthansa Group
flights. HON Circle status remains exclusively tied to Business and First Class
flights with Lufthansa Group Airlines and co-issuing Miles & More partners.
Gold Elite recognition for
Senators and HON Circle Members
As part of the partnership, Senators
and HON Circle Members receive Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite status automatically,
entitling them to:
·
25% more Marriott Bonvoy points on eligible
stays
·
Complimentary room upgrades (subject to
availability)
·
Late check-out
privileges
Strategic importance
With more than 30 hotel brands
in over 10,000 destinations, Marriott Bonvoy significantly broadens the
lifestyle and travel benefits available to Miles & More members. The
partnership strengthens customer loyalty across both ecosystems, motivating
members to combine flights and hotel stays to maximize rewards.
