Global travel technology leader Amadeus has hosted a
pioneering travel hackathon in Bangkok, bringing together some of the most
innovative minds in the Asia Pacific travel ecosystem. The event focused on
harnessing agentic AI to simplify traveler experiences, enhance
personalization, and optimize travel operations across the booking journey.
AI and collaboration at the heart of innovation
Participants were challenged to reimagine how
travelers search, book, and experience their trips using Amadeus Self-Service
APIs and Google Cloud’s AI tools, including Gemini Models, Agent Engine on
Vertex AI, and the Agent Development Kit (ADK).
Teams from across the region – including AsiaOneClick,
PKFARE, CIT, ClearTrip, Richmond Tours, Golden Destinations, House of Travel,
MakeMyTrip.com, Shindai/BCDTravel, Trip.com, and Travel Cue – presented
creative prototypes ranging from AI-driven disruption prediction tools for
corporate travelers to budget-sensitive personalized trip planners and AI-generated
booking visuals depicting travelers on their journeys.
Winning solutions and standout ideas
The judging panel, composed of experts from Amadeus
and Google, evaluated the projects on innovation, feasibility, and presentation
quality. The winners were:
·
Winner: Trip.com – Click & Go: Your Personalized Travel Assistant
·
1st Runner-up: ClearTrip – MyTravel.ai: Personalized Inspiration

travel closer. The creativity and collaboration we’ve seen here will inspire
real-world solutions that transform how people move and connect.”
