Radisson
Collection Hotel, Grand Place Brussels is known for its long history
in the important city square and its distinctive design and post-modernist
architecture dating back to 1989. Continuing its role as a center of art and
culture in the city of Brussels, the hotel is proud to be partnered with Visit
Brussels for the 2024 Bright Brussels Festival. For four magical evenings, the
Brussels Festival of Lights will guide guests through two of the capital's
emblematic neighborhoods: the Royal Quarter and the European Quarter. Visitors
and locals alike will experience the city in a new way through some thirty
poetic works created by artists from all over the world.
As local art and experiences are a hallmark of the
Radisson brand, it’s a natural partnership for the Radisson Collection Hotel,
Grand Place Brussels. Radisson Collection hotels are social destinations for
locals and global travelers alike to find connection. A key stop on the
festival route, the hotel’s exceptional art installation will allow visitors to
experience the hotel’s iconic atrium in an entirely new way. The metamorphosis
will come to live with a dance of moving light in an intricate video projection
playing off the unique architecture and design of the space. With inspiration
taken from nature and Chinese culture and traditions, “A Year of Radiance”
celebrates both the Lunar Year of the Dragon and the 35th anniversary of the
storied Radisson Collection Hotel, Grand Place Brussels. In order to create the
immersive installation, Radisson Collection has partnered with D-Mines, a
Belgian immersive and interactive experience production company.
The hotel’s acclaimed Shanghai
Kitchen restaurant will also mark the occasion with a Chinese New Year
menu available on Fridays and Saturdays throughout the month of February.
Visitors are further invited to celebrate auspicious Year of the Dragon with a
lucky red cocktail. “Hong Long”, which translates from Chinese as red dragon,
is a sophisticated mix of Baijiu, vodka, lime, and grenadine. Shanghai
Kitchen concept takes its visitors to Shanghai with its flavors and
ingredients and lets them experience a sophisticated twist on Chinese street food
classics and Shanghainese specialties.
Radisson Collection, Grand Place Brussels looks
forward to welcoming and meeting as many as possible of the over nearly 400,000
visitors expected to experience Bright Brussels from February 15th to 18th,
2024.
