In a groundbreaking move for the travel industry, TUI
has announced a strategic partnership with Mindtrip, the AI-powered travel
inspiration and planning platform. The collaboration integrates TUI’s booking
functionality directly into Mindtrip’s interface, allowing users to move
seamlessly from AI-generated travel ideas to confirmed bookings — all under the
security of the EU Package Travel Directive.
With the new “Book with TUI” button, Mindtrip users
can now reserve complete travel packages that combine flights and hotels, along
with add-on services such as transfers, car hire, and excursions. The feature
is currently available in Belgium, Germany, Ireland, and the Netherlands.
From inspiration to booking in one click
Mindtrip enables users to plan their trips
conversationally — by asking questions such as “Where should I go in December?”
or “Find me a boutique hotel in London near the shopping streets.” The platform
responds with personalized itineraries, interactive maps, and curated
recommendations for hotels, restaurants, attractions, and experiences. Users
can then drag, drop, and customize their plans collaboratively — and now, book
them instantly via TUI’s integrated system.
“This marks a new approach in distribution:
theoretical, AI-generated suggestions are becoming commercial reality,” said Mircea
Tudose, Managing Director Expansion Businesses, TUI Markets + Airline. “The
partnership gives us valuable early insights into AI-based travel sales,
benefitting all our sales channels — digital and offline alike. By working with
Mindtrip, we’re learning how travelers interact with intelligent assistants and
how we can further develop our offerings across all platforms.”
Technology partnership with Nezasa
Travel tech company Nezasa powers the connection
between AI-generated itineraries and TUI’s real-time inventory through its TUI
Tours platform, jointly developed with TUI. The system enables flexible trip
combinations for both travel agencies and direct customers and uses AI to
assist agents in creating tailor-made journeys.
“This three-way partnership is a shining example of
what’s possible when inspiration, planning, and booking are unified,” said Andy
Moss, Co-founder and CEO of Mindtrip. “It’s the beginning of a new era in
travel, where everything from discovery to checkout happens seamlessly through
the power of AI. TUI and Nezasa have been incredible partners in making that
vision a reality.”
Redefining package holidays for the AI age
The collaboration underscores TUI’s integrated
business model, which covers every stage of the travel experience — from
digital planning to flights, accommodation, and on-site services. This vertical
structure enables personalization, real-time flexibility, and robust traveller
protection.
By linking AI-driven inspiration with secure package
bookings, TUI and Mindtrip are setting a new standard for how travelers will
discover and design their holidays in the years ahead.
