The Ritz-Carlton has announced a new collaboration
with Kilometre Paris, introducing a limited-edition capsule collection that
translates the character of four of the brand’s coastal resorts into
handcrafted travel accessories. The partnership brings together The
Ritz-Carlton’s hospitality heritage and Kilometre Paris’ signature
hand-embroidered designs.
The collection draws inspiration from The
Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel; The Ritz-Carlton Bacara, Santa Barbara; The
Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island; and The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Miami. Each
destination is interpreted through a series of beach totes, basket bags and
bandanas designed for leisure travel.
Accessories shaped by place and memory
Rather than focusing solely on function, the capsule
positions its pieces as extensions of the travel experience. Colors, motifs and
embroidery reflect the mood and visual identity of each resort, allowing guests
to carry a tangible reminder of their journeys.
“At The Ritz-Carlton, the most meaningful travel
experiences are those that connect guests more deeply to place, culture, and
community,” said Jamie Hoffman, Director of Global Marketing and Partnerships
at The Ritz-Carlton. “Our collaboration with Kilometre is an opportunity to
tell that story through design, translating the spirit, color, and character of
our resorts into pieces shaped by craftsmanship and sense of place.”
Handcrafted design and global craftsmanship
The capsule features Kilometre Paris’ distinctive
hand-embroidered detailing across three core silhouettes. Handwoven basket
bags, including models such as the Undercover Basket and Le Tube Basket, are
crafted in Morocco using natural date palm leaves. The designs are complemented
by hand-spun cotton bandanas incorporating coastal-inspired embroidery.
“Kilometre fits naturally with The Ritz-Carlton
because we share the same obsession with excellence in every detail,” said
Alexandra Senes, Founder of Kilometre Paris. “Like The Ritz-Carlton, we believe
true luxury is not about appearance, but about craftsmanship, time, and human
collaboration.”
All pieces are produced entirely by hand by artisan
communities in Morocco, reflecting traditional techniques passed down through
generations. The emphasis on manual production, material selection and
narrative design underscores the shared focus on craftsmanship.
Social responsibility component
In line with The Ritz-Carlton’s Community Footprints
programme, a portion of proceeds from the collection will support selected
social and environmental initiatives within the local communities of the
participating resorts.
Availability
The limited-edition capsule is available at The
Ritz-Carlton Bacara, Santa Barbara; The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel; The
Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island; and The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Miami, as well
as through The Ritz-Carlton Boutiques online.
