Condor has celebrated the inaugural flight to Haikou
on Friday, 6 February 2026, marking a further expansion of its China programme.
With the new service, Condor is serving Haikou Meilan International Airport for
the first time, the primary international gateway to China’s island province of
Hainan.
Seasonal service timed for Chinese New Year demand
The new route is operated as a seasonal service twice
weekly until 9 March 2026. Flights depart Frankfurt on Sundays and Thursdays,
operate via Bangkok, and arrive in Haikou on Mondays and Fridays. The schedule
is designed to meet increased demand during the Chinese New Year travel period.
Strengthening Condor’s footprint in China
By adding Haikou to its network, Condor deepens its
engagement in the Chinese market and further expands its presence on Hainan
Island. The new service complements Condor’s existing flights to Sanya, which
have been offered since July 2025, increasing capacity for both leisure and
business travellers between Europe and China.
Haikou emerging as a key hub on Hainan
Haikou is gaining significance as a major transport
hub and tourism centre in southern China. The new connection enhances Condor’s
Asia portfolio and provides travellers and distribution partners with
additional access to the rapidly developing Hainan region.
Booking and availability
Tickets for flights to Haikou are available at www.condor.com as well as through travel agencies and tour operators.
