Ryanair, Poland’s and Europe’s largest airline, has
announced its Summer 2026 programme for Poznań. The schedule features 39
routes, expanding travel options for both leisure and business passengers.
Three new destinations – Podgorica, Shannon and Tirana – join the network,
strengthening the airport’s international connectivity.
During the summer season, five Ryanair aircraft will
be based at Poznań–Ławica Airport. According to the airline, the expanded base
is expected to support tourism flows, generate employment and contribute to the
regional economy.
Focus on fleet modernisation
The Poznań base will include two Boeing 737-8200
“Gamechanger” aircraft. Compared to previous models, these aircraft produce up
to 40% less noise, consume up to 16% less fuel and offer 4% more seats. Ryanair
highlights the improved operational efficiency and reduced environmental
footprint of the newer fleet.
Investment and passenger growth
Ryanair’s Summer 2026 programme for Poznań comprises
39 routes, five based aircraft, a USD 500 million investment and an expected
annual traffic volume exceeding 2.1 million passengers.
To mark the launch of the new season, the airline has
introduced a seat sale with fares starting from PLN 126. The promotion is
available until 19 February via the Ryanair app and website.
Airline perspective
Michał Kaczmarzyk, Buzz CEO (Ryanair Group), said:
“We are delighted to unveil our Summer 2026 schedule
from Poznań, featuring three fantastic new routes – Podgorica, Shannon and
Tirana. This coming season, we will base five aircraft in Poznań, including two
Boeing 737-8200 ‘Gamechanger’ aircraft, which offer more seats, lower fuel
consumption and – crucially for Poznań – up to 40% less noise emissions. This
investment and the expansion of our presence in Poznań demonstrate just how
important the Wielkopolska region is for us. We hope that the new destinations
and increased flight availability will encourage passengers to book their
summer getaways.
To mark the launch of the Summer ’26 season in Poznań,
we have prepared a dedicated seat sale, with fares starting from just PLN 126.
The offer is available until 19 February exclusively via the Ryanair app and
website.”
Airport perspective
Grzegorz Bykowski, CEO of Poznań–Ławica, emphasised
the airport’s growth trajectory:
“We are very pleased that our most important partner
continues to strengthen its position at the fastest-growing airport in Poland.
Compared to the last year before the COVID-19 pandemic, traffic in Poznań has
increased by 75% – the best result in Poland and one of the best in all of
Europe. The more than 4.1 million passengers handled at Ławica last year
clearly shows that people in Poznań and the wider Wielkopolska region want to
travel.
Our focus now is on maintaining this momentum, and the
availability of attractive summer routes offered by Ryanair is an important
step towards that goal. Not only sunny Spain, Italy or Croatia, but now also
destinations such as Albania and Montenegro are becoming appealing summer
holiday options for travellers from Poznań and the region.
Moreover, basing the most modern and quietest aircraft
from the Boeing 737 family in Poznań helps ensure that the airport is no longer
seen as a troublesome neighbour.”
