Istanbul is counting down for the UEFA Champions League final game, one
of the world's most significant sports events, that will take place at Istanbul's
Atatürk Olympic Stadium on June 10th 2023. Football fans coming to the city for
the final will get much more than an 'entertaining game'.
With its exciting culture and art life, delicious flavours, historical
spots, unique city architecture, vivid nightlife, and a wide range of shopping
opportunities, Istanbul promises football fans a fantastic trip. You can spend
a week in this dynamic metropolis, one of the world's most admired
destinations, before the final game and explore it with all its experiences.
The Champions Festival
The Champions Festival, dedicated to the UEFA Champions League final,
will be organised at Istanbul's Yenikapı Festival Venue between the 8th and
11th of June 2023. On June 9th, the 2023 UEFA Ultimate Champions
Tournament will be played at 4:00 pm with the participation of the UEFA
Ambassadors. Turkey's official tourism promotion platform GoTurkey will host 2
DJ sets with Chris Luno B2B Ceaus, Guillaume de Kadebostany and Lost
Frequencies on the same day.
Historic Buildings that are a Rich Past's Heritage
Istanbul attracts thousands of tourists worldwide with its historical
places and architecture reflecting its multicultural identity and rich history.
Due to its strategic location, the city, which has been home to numerous
civilisations throughout history, also holds many historical buildings showing
traces of different eras and cultures. The "Historical Peninsula"
houses many of the city's iconic buildings. Surrounded on one side by the
ancient city walls and on the other by the Bosphorus, the Sea of Marmara, and
the Golden Horn, the peninsula attracts tourists and travellers with the Hippodrome,
Hagia Sophia, Basilica Cistern, Blue Mosque, Istanbul Archeology Museum and Topkapı
Palace.
Istanbul's towers are also must-see attractions. The Galata Tower,
the famous structure on Istanbul's skyline, offers incredible panoramic views
of the city from its observation floor. On the other hand, the Maiden's Tower,
the iconic structure of the Istanbul Bosphorus, enables its visitors to watch
the beautiful Istanbul from an entirely different point of view.
A Unique Blend of Art and Culture
Istanbul, known for its rich historical heritage, is a real treasure for
art lovers, with its museums that combine the cultural dynamism of the age with
traditions, modern art galleries, cultural centres, streets hosting artists and
designers, concert venues, and an ever-increasing number of cultural and
artistic events.
