Delta Expands Transatlantic Network with Seven New Routes for Summer 2026

Delta is gearing up for an ambitious summer season in 2026, marking the airline’s most extensive transatlantic programme to date. Over recent months, the carrier has opened new routes, strengthened its U.S. gateways and added premium upgrades both on board and on the ground — all culminating in a summer network designed for travellers seeking new cultural, culinary and coastal experiences across Europe.

Seven New Nonstop Routes to Europe

Delta’s 2026 schedule introduces seven new options for travellers heading across the Atlantic:

Boston (BOS) – Madrid (MAD)

A gateway to Spain’s artistic heritage, lively plazas and evening tapas culture.

Seattle (SEA) – Rome (FCO)

Direct access from the Pacific Northwest to the Italian capital’s ancient sites and vibrant street life.

Seattle (SEA) – Barcelona (BCN)

Boston (BOS) – Nice (NCE)

A French Riviera arrival framed by palm-lined boulevards and turquoise coastline.

New York (JFK) – Olbia, Sardinia (OLB)

An escape to rugged landscapes, quiet coves and clear-blue waters.

New York (JFK) – Porto (OPO)

A route to the Douro River, terraced hillsides and Portugal’s celebrated port wine tradition.

New York (JFK) – Malta (MLA)

Launching 7 June 2026

A crossroads of Mediterranean culture, maritime fortresses and sunlit island life.

Seasonal favourite Catania (CTA) returns in April 2026, further expanding Delta’s Mediterranean offering.

Largest Transatlantic Schedule in Delta’s History

For summer 2026, Delta will operate more than 650 weekly flights to nearly 30 European destinations. The expanded programme enhances connectivity across major hubs and reinforces Delta’s long-term growth strategy in the transatlantic market.

Winter 2025/26: Early Inspiration for European Travel

Before summer arrives, Delta’s winter timetable offers connections to key cities such as Amsterdam, Paris, Marrakech, London, Dublin, Athens and Zürich. The colder months provide a different appeal: illuminated canals, theatre seasons, café culture and quieter landmarks.

Premium Upgrades on Board and on the Ground

Delta’s expansion is accompanied by enhancements across the travel experience, including:

·        56 Delta Sky Clubs worldwide — the largest lounge footprint of any U.S. airline.

·        Delta One Lounges in New York-JFK, Los Angeles, Boston and Seattle.

·        Increased widebody service, with access to Delta One, Delta Premium Select and Delta Comfort.

·        A culinary partnership with chef José Andrés, featuring Spanish-inspired dishes and curated wine pairings in select premium cabins.

·        New entertainment partnerships, including ad-free access to curated YouTube content and a dedicated anime collection via Crunchyroll on more than 165,000 seatback screens.

Whether planning a winter getaway or looking ahead to the longer days of summer, Delta’s expanding schedule offers more ways than ever to discover Europe in 2026.
