ITB Berlin has launched the ITB Navigator, a new
digital platform designed to help participants prepare efficiently for ITB
Berlin 2026. The free tool brings together matchmaking, networking, programme
search and practical trade show information in one central interface and is now
available to trade visitors, buyers, exhibitors and media representatives.
Access to the ITB Navigator is granted with a valid
ITB Berlin ticket, membership of the ITB Buyers Circle or media accreditation.
Users can create a personal profile and make use of a wide range of functions,
including the newly introduced Networking feature, which supports targeted
business preparation well in advance of the event.
Smarter networking through automated matchmaking
At the core of the ITB Navigator is its Networking
function, which provides an overview of all registered participants who have
enabled direct contact in their profiles. The integrated Matchmaking feature
uses the information in fully completed profiles to generate automated,
personalised contact recommendations. This helps users identify relevant
business partners more quickly and focus on meaningful professional exchanges.
Each recommendation is accompanied by a relevance
indicator showing how closely a suggested contact matches the user’s own
profile, including a percentage score. In addition to automated suggestions,
users can search manually through participant lists using precise filters,
making it possible to identify suitable partners, arrange meetings and build
leads in a targeted way. The function is aimed at trade visitors looking to do
business, establish strategic contacts or connect with media representatives.
All key information in one place
Beyond networking, the ITB Navigator offers a
comprehensive set of tools for trade show preparation. These include exhibitor
portfolios and news, the convention and event programme, an appointment
calendar and general trade fair information. An interactive map of the
exhibition grounds will be available from late January.
During ITB Berlin itself, geo-based functions will
support on-site orientation. Users can view their current location on the
interactive map and receive information about sessions or events taking place
nearby, helping them navigate the show more effectively.
ITB Berlin app to follow in late January
From late January, the new ITB Berlin app will
complement the ITB Navigator and will be available free of charge via Google
Play and the Apple App Store. Users can log in with the email address used when
purchasing their ticket and gain access to their personal appointment calendar,
saved contacts from the ITB Navigator and a digital version of their ITB Berlin
ticket and BVG public transport ticket.
The app also includes an exhibitor and product
directory, the interactive grounds map and the full event and convention
programme. Bookmarking and memo functions support individual scheduling, with
all content available in German and English.
For exhibitors, the app offers an optional Lead
Scanning add-on. Team members assigned to an exhibitor profile can scan visitor
badges and collect contact details directly via the app. The resulting leads
are consolidated and can be exported for further use. This add-on is available
via the ITB Berlin Advertising Shop.
Discounts on tickets and public transport
ITB Berlin is offering discounted unlimited passes to
members of selected tourism associations and travel organisations, including
AER, ASR, DRV, forum anders reisen, HSMA, TSS, VDVO and VIR. Association
members can purchase the unlimited pass for 65 euros instead of the regular
price of 80 euros.
In cooperation with Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe, trade
visitors, students and exhibitors can also add a reduced-rate public transport
ticket for fare zones ABC when purchasing their ITB ticket online. The
initiative is intended to encourage the use of public transport and support
more sustainable travel to the trade show. A BVG ticket is valid for the same
period as the corresponding ITB pass, and existing bookings can be upgraded
accordingly.
