Delta Air Lines has been named one of TIME’s 100 best
companies in America for 2026. The carrier ranked 98th overall and was the only
commercial airline to secure a place in the top 100.
The ranking recognises companies for their performance
across employee satisfaction, financial results and sustainability. For Delta,
the result reflects a wider series of workplace and industry awards received in
recent years.
Ranking based on three performance pillars
TIME compiled the list in partnership with market
research company Statista. A total of 1,000 businesses were assessed according
to three main criteria: employee satisfaction, financial performance and
sustainability.
Delta’s 98th-place finish made it the highest-ranked
commercial airline on the list and the only carrier represented within the top
100.
The airline said the recognition reflected its
people-focused corporate culture and the contribution of its employees to the
company’s performance and brand reputation.
Previous recognition from TIME
Delta was also included in TIME’s World’s Best
Companies ranking in 2025. The airline placed 148th globally and was the
highest-ranked US commercial carrier on that list.
The latest result strengthens Delta’s position among
companies recognised for combining business performance with employee
engagement and corporate responsibility.
Series of workplace and airline awards
Delta has received several other recent distinctions.
The carrier was included in Glassdoor’s list of the 100 best places to work for
2026 and ranked ninth on Fortune’s Best Companies to Work For list.
The airline was also named one of Fortune’s Best
Workplaces for Women. In addition, The Points Guy ranked Delta as the leading
US airline for the eighth consecutive year.
Delta said the awards shared a common foundation in
the commitment of its employees, which continued to support both its position
as an employer and its appeal among passengers.
