City Mayor Soyer is proud of the project to unite two sides of Aegean Sea. “Communication will bring us together” said Tunç Soyer, the Mayor of Citta Slow, Seferihisar
Municipality hurries for the training courses before the Ferry Tours from Greek Islands in May. City Mayor reported 200 trainees in the courses. The course aims to enable Seferihisar citizens to communicate with the visitors from Greek Land. Seferihisar citizens are closely involved in the courses.
Seferihisar makes up for the busy 2010 summer. The customs office and a marina will be opened by April 2010. Sığacık-Samos ferry tours are expected to carry Greeks to Seferihisar for holiday and shopping. Greeks seems to be a must for a friendly relation between two sides of Aegean Sea.
Samos delegation was impressed with the hospitality in Seferihisar
The ferry tours are the result of friendly negotiations among Tunç Soyer, Karlvassi City Mayor Panagrofis Lyberis, Samos Vice Governor Stelios Thanos, Tourism Alliance Chairman Michalis Toanoglou and Vice Chairman Dimitris Prokopiou in Seferihisar. “ Seferihisar is a new brand now. Citta Slow Seferihisar is a new city of attraction for tourism. Our people demands for the Greek Courses and we did” said Tunc Soyer.
2010 is estimated to be an active summer.
“ Two Countries, Two Continents, One Holiday” is the motto of the project. The Greek Islands and Seferihisar may associate for joint holiday packages, cooperate for the tourism fairs” said Soyer. “ The Islands are expecting longer holidays, extended tourism season upto 12 months. The thermal sources and the distance between İzmir and our town may be our common advantages and the neihboors have full confidence in our idea.”
