Radisson Hotel Group has opened Radisson RED Izmir
Point Bornova, introducing the Radisson RED brand to the Turkish market for the
first time. Located in İzmir’s lively Bornova district, the new property brings
the brand’s design-led and socially oriented hospitality concept to one of
Türkiye’s most dynamic urban areas.
The hotel features 204 contemporary guest rooms and is
directly integrated with the Point Bornova Shopping Mall, providing convenient
access to retail, dining and entertainment options. Guests also benefit from
the hotel’s proximity to public transport links and major attractions across
the city.
Facilities include a rooftop restaurant and bar with
panoramic city views, flexible meeting and event spaces, an outdoor swimming
pool, wellness amenities, free Wi-Fi, EV charging stations and pet-friendly
services.
A lifestyle-driven hospitality concept in İzmir
Radisson RED Izmir Point Bornova introduces a
hospitality approach centered on social interaction, creativity and flexible
spaces. Open public areas encourage guests to work, connect or relax throughout
the day, while the rooftop venue serves as a central gathering point with views
across the city.
Dining concepts range from relaxed poolside meals to
evening social events. Music-driven ambience, curated beverage menus and
adaptable event spaces support a lively social atmosphere suitable for
celebrations, corporate gatherings and weddings.
“Radisson RED Izmir Point Bornova brings a new energy
to the city, offering more than just a place to stay,” said Serdar Karlıdağ,
General Manager of Radisson RED Izmir Point Bornova. “From bold design and
vibrant social spaces to flexible dining and event experiences, the hotel is
designed to reflect the rhythm of urban life while encouraging connection and
creativity. As the first Radisson RED in Türkiye, we are proud to introduce a
lifestyle-driven experience that resonates with both travelers and the local
community.”
Design inspired by İzmir’s urban character
The hotel’s interior concept reflects Radisson RED’s
contemporary and playful design philosophy while drawing inspiration from
İzmir’s urban atmosphere. Expressive interiors, modern materials and vibrant
design accents create a dynamic environment throughout the property.
Public areas and guest rooms combine functionality
with distinctive visual elements intended to encourage interaction and
creativity. Subtle references to local culture and lifestyle are incorporated
into the design, reinforcing the hotel’s connection to the city while
maintaining the brand’s global identity.
Social spaces at the center of the guest experience
Several venues within the hotel are designed as
gathering points for guests and visitors. RED Bites, which transforms into the
rooftop venue RED ROOF, offers dining and drinks with panoramic views across
İzmir. The space is designed to function as a social hub, suitable for casual
meals, evening gatherings and informal events.
At the heart of the property, the Lobby Bar provides a
relaxed meeting point throughout the day. With contemporary mixology and a
comfortable setting, the venue supports informal encounters ranging from coffee
breaks to evening cocktails.
Wellness and leisure facilities complement the stay
Radisson RED Izmir Point Bornova also offers a range
of wellness and recreational facilities. The hotel’s spa includes sauna areas
and massage rooms where professional therapists provide treatments designed to
promote relaxation and recovery.
Guests can maintain their fitness routine at GYM
REDZONE, a fully equipped fitness centre open around the clock. Outdoor leisure
options include a large swimming pool and an on-site padel court.
The property also welcomes guests travelling with pets
and provides concierge services to assist with local recommendations and travel
arrangements.
Part of Radisson’s growth strategy in Türkiye
For Radisson Hotel Group, the opening represents an
important step in its expansion plans in the Turkish market.
“The opening of Radisson RED Izmir Point Bornova marks
an important milestone in our growth strategy for Türkiye,” said Yılmaz
Yıldırımlar, Chief Operating Officer Europe at Radisson Hotel Group. “As the
first Radisson RED hotel in the Turkish market, it strengthens our lifestyle
portfolio and reflects our ambition to reach 100 hotels in Türkiye within the
next five years. We are proud to bring the Radisson RED experience to İzmir, a
city that naturally aligns with the brand’s energy, creativity and social spirit.”
Radisson RED Izmir Point Bornova is located around 20
minutes by car from İzmir Adnan Menderes Airport and is also easily accessible
by public transport, offering convenient connections to the city centre and
surrounding districts.
