TTM+ 2025 Highlights Thailand’s Sustainable Tourism Vision

At Thailand Travel Mart Plus (TTM+) 2025, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) unveiled its updated tourism strategy, showcasing innovations that prioritize sustainability, wellness, and cultural depth.

Delivered by TAT Deputy Governor Mr. Nithee Seeprae, the presentation emphasized “high-value, low-impact” tourism rooted in Thai heritage, aligning with the Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism and Sports Year 2025 campaign.

Key developments include:

·         Relaxed alcohol laws and a new digital Arrival Card to enhance visitor convenience

·         Expanded wellness tourism, especially Lanna-inspired treatments in Northern Thailand

·         Gastronomic tourism, with 400+ Michelin Guide listings and Thailand’s first 3-star Michelin restaurant, Sorn

·         The upcoming Blue Jasmine Rail Journey from Bangkok to Chiang Mai and Lannatique by AWC, a cultural lifestyle hub

Thailand’s green agenda was also spotlighted, with 16 destinations in the Green Destinations program. Nan Old Town received Asia’s only Gold Award, and the Krabi Prototype was introduced as a model for low-carbon tourism.

TAT also highlighted major 2025 events, including Pride Month, Phi Ta Khon, Wonderfruit, and the Amazing Thailand Countdown. Sports tourism will play a key role, with events like ONE Championship, the SEA Games, and the Thailand Marathon.

TTM+ 2025 brings together 406 buyers and 450 sellers, and is expected to generate over 4.2 billion baht in tourism revenue. Sustainability initiatives at the event include carbon offsetting and CSR donations to local schools.

So far in 2025, Thailand has welcomed over 14 million international visitors, led by China, Malaysia, India, Russia, and South Korea.
