Seabourn has opened bookings for its 2027–2029 ocean
voyage collection, presenting a series of global itineraries as the luxury
cruise line prepares to celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2028. The upcoming
Ruby Jubilee season combines new destinations, extended port stays and
anniversary-inspired onboard programming across four continents.
The collection includes 118 departures to 243
destinations in 45 countries, with voyages ranging from seven to 40 days.
Sailings cover regions including Alaska, Japan, Southeast Asia, the
Mediterranean, Northern Europe, the Caribbean and Canada and New England.
According to the company, the itineraries are designed to emphasise smaller
ports and deeper destination immersion typical of yacht-style cruising.
Mark Tamis, president of Seabourn, said: “Travelers
choose Seabourn because they want to genuinely connect with the places they
visit. As we look ahead to our 40th anniversary, this collection reflects where
we began and where we are going, combining our heritage of small-ship luxury
with new destinations and itineraries, new first-of-its-kind collaborations,
and more opportunities to bring luxury and exploration together in an immersive
way.”
Ruby Jubilee celebrations across the fleet
The 2028 season marks four decades since the launch of
The Yachts of Seabourn in 1988. Throughout the anniversary year, every sailing
will feature special events, themed entertainment and enrichment programmes
highlighting the brand’s history.
The celebrations include the Ruby Collection Voyages,
a curated series of 40 sailings featuring exclusive experiences and enhanced
onboard offerings. The anniversary year will also feature an expanded Seabourn
Conversations programme and a new collaboration with The Atlantic, including a
special 12-day Canada and New England voyage with guest speakers and moderated
discussions.
A highlight of the anniversary season will be the 2028
Cape-to-Cape World Cruise. Departing on 7 January 2028 aboard Seabourn Quest,
the 120-day voyage will travel across five continents and include destinations
such as Antarctica, Easter Island and the Falkland Islands, as well as a
transit of the Panama Canal.
Global itineraries from Alaska to Southeast Asia
The new collection features a wide range of regional
programmes. Seabourn Encore will return to Alaska in summer 2028 with voyages
of seven to 21 days visiting 22 ports along the Inside Passage and Alaska’s
remote coastline.
The same ship will also operate extended seasons in
Japan, with voyages timed to coincide with the country’s cherry blossom and
autumn foliage seasons. Sailings will include visits to UNESCO World Heritage
sites as well as overnight stays in major ports.
Additional programmes include Southeast Asia
itineraries between Singapore and Hong Kong, Mediterranean voyages on Seabourn
Ovation with more than 50 departures, and Northern Europe sailings exploring
Scandinavia, Norway and the Baltic.
The Caribbean season between November 2027 and March
2028 will feature voyages to 21 islands, while autumn sailings in Canada and
New England will highlight the region’s fall foliage and coastal landscapes.
With the expanded programme, Seabourn aims to offer
travellers deeper cultural immersion and access to destinations often beyond
the reach of larger cruise ships.
