Radisson Hotel Group has published its 2025
Responsible Business Report, outlining how sustainability is being translated
into measurable progress across its global operations. The Group continues to
align its strategy with changing guest expectations, regulatory requirements
and climate risks, while pursuing its long-term target of achieving Net Zero by
2050.
Verified Net Zero hotels mark key milestone
A central development in 2025 is the launch of the
first Verified Net Zero hotels, creating a scalable model for reducing
emissions in both existing and new properties. The programme focuses on energy
efficiency, electrification, renewable energy and responsible resource use,
demonstrating that meaningful decarbonisation can be achieved without
compromising operational standards.
Think People: investment in talent and inclusion
With more than 75,000 employees in over 100 countries,
Radisson Hotel Group continues to prioritise workforce development and
well-being. The Radisson People Foundation supported more than 250 team members
globally, while engagement reached 84%, significantly above the industry
average. Women now hold 31% of leadership roles, and over 200 hotels are
certified for safety standards. Training also remains a key focus, with
millions of learning hours delivered and a strong share of internal promotions.
Think Community: partnerships and social impact
The Group’s community initiatives generated €890,000
in donations and nearly 79,000 volunteer hours. Through its partnership with
Just a Drop, access to clean water and sanitation was improved for more than
34,000 people. Responsible sourcing also advanced, with the majority of
suppliers assessed and recognised through an EcoVadis Silver rating.
Think Planet: progress toward Net Zero
Environmental performance continues to improve, with
emissions intensity reduced by 23% per square metre compared to 2019 levels. At
the same time, overall emissions declined despite portfolio growth. Nearly 80
hotels now operate on 100% renewable electricity, and new flagship properties
in Manchester and Oslo demonstrate low-carbon operations across all emission
scopes.
Increased transparency and reporting standards
The 2025 report is the Group’s first aligned with the
EU’s Voluntary Sustainability Reporting Standard for SMEs, based on a double
materiality approach. By integrating environmental, social and governance
metrics into decision-making, Radisson Hotel Group aims to strengthen trust
among guests, partners and investors while supporting long-term value creation.
