Peru will host 25 international travel designers
specialising in high-end tourism for the first edition of REMOTE Expedition
Peru. The programme combines familiarisation trips through five regions of the
country with a four-day B2B event in the Colca Valley, bringing selected
international buyers together with Peruvian tourism suppliers.
Running from 23 to 30 October 2026, the event is
organised by REMOTE Latin America with the support of PromPerú. Participation
is by invitation and aimed at senior travel professionals working with
personalised, small-scale and high-value travel experiences.
Five journeys showcase Peru beyond established routes
Before the business event begins, the 25 international
travel designers will split into groups for familiarisation trips from 23 to 27
October. Five itineraries have been designed to showcase different landscapes
and tourism products across Peru.
The routes cover Nasca and Paracas; Cusco and Colca;
Lake Titicaca and Tinajani Canyon; Chachapoyas; and Huascarán National Park.
The programme allows buyers to experience products first-hand before meeting
suppliers during the central B2B event.
The emphasis is on personalised experiences and
smaller-scale tourism products suited to the high-end international market. By
combining well-known destinations with less familiar regions, the programme
also aims to broaden the range of Peruvian products available through
specialist travel designers.
Colca Valley becomes the B2B hub
From 27 to 30 October, the Colca Valley will become
the central venue for REMOTE Expedition Peru. Twenty-five selected exhibitors
will meet the 25 international buyers in a programme combining individual
business appointments, destination experiences, discussion sessions and
networking.
The format is designed to move beyond a conventional
trade show. Buyers arrive in Colca after having already travelled through
different parts of Peru, giving the subsequent meetings a direct connection to
products and experiences they have encountered during the preceding days.
High-end tourism takes centre stage
REMOTE Expedition is a format developed by REMOTE
Latin America for senior professionals in the luxury and high-end travel
segment. Its first edition in Peru places particular emphasis on direct product
knowledge and business relationships between local suppliers and international
travel specialists.
For Peru, the event provides an opportunity to present
a broader portfolio to buyers capable of incorporating specialised experiences
into tailor-made international itineraries. The combination of familiarisation
trips and one-to-one meetings also gives participating suppliers direct access
to professionals already familiar with the destinations and products being
discussed.
