IHG
Hotels & Resorts (IHG), a global leader in hospitality, is bringing its
rapidly growing Garner brand to Southeast Asia, with Garner Hotel Pattaya
Central set to open later this year on Thailand’s east coast.
Garner’s
rapid global growth
Since
its launch in 2023, Garner has grown to 51 open hotels across countries
including Japan, the United States and Germany, with an additional 87
properties in the pipeline. The new Pattaya opening marks a significant
milestone as IHG continues to expand its mainstream portfolio.
Developed
in partnership with Nova Park Company Limited – a leading developer in Pattaya
and a longstanding IHG partner – Garner Hotel Pattaya Central will feature 153
rooms and suites in its first phase, blending the brand’s modern design with
elevated residential-style service.
A
brand with purpose
Garner
hotels are designed to deliver relaxed and comfortable stays for guests who
value genuine human connection. Each property offers convenient locations,
comfortable beds, free Wi-Fi, bean-to-cup coffee, and snacks at the Garner Shop
– the essentials that matter most to today’s travelers.
Vivek
Bhalla, Managing Director, South East Asia & Korea, IHG Hotels &
Resorts, said:
“We’re
excited to introduce our rapidly growing Garner brand to Southeast Asia.
Thailand has historically been a launch market for IHG in the region, and we
look forward to welcoming guests to Garner Hotel Pattaya Central this year.
This agreement strengthens IHG’s leading position in the mainstream segment
alongside our well-loved Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express brands. We are
thrilled to extend our excellent relationship with Nova Park Company Limited,
following our success with Holiday Inn Express Pattaya Central.”
A
partnership for Pattaya’s growth
Eli
Fineman, Director, Nova Group, added:
“Pattaya
is a key tourism hub in Thailand and a gateway to the Eastern Economic
Corridor. The launch of the first Garner property here will complement the
city’s ongoing development as a vibrant destination. Through our partnership
with IHG, we’re offering guests a high-quality, distinct experience at an
excellent price point.”
Quick
conversions drive expansion
In
H1 2025, quick-to-market conversions accounted for about 57% of IHG’s global
room openings, while in Southeast Asia they represented more than a third of
signings and a quarter of openings. This underlines growing demand among
ownership groups for fast access to IHG’s global enterprise system and channels
to enhance performance and returns.
With
three quarters of IHG’s system size in the mainstream segment, Garner’s arrival
in Southeast Asia offers owners strong opportunities for higher returns and
provides guests with quality midscale stays at great value.
Expanding
IHG’s footprint in Pattaya
Just
an hour from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport and 90 minutes from central Bangkok,
Pattaya is one of Thailand’s most popular beach destinations, renowned for its
dining, shopping, and nightlife. Ideally located in the city centre, Garner
Hotel Pattaya Central will feature an all-day dining restaurant, swimming pool,
fitness centre, and DIY laundry.
The
hotel will be the fourth IHG property in Pattaya, joining InterContinental
Pattaya Resort, Holiday Inn Pattaya and Holiday Inn Express Pattaya Central. In
Thailand overall, IHG now operates 40 hotels with a further 41 in the pipeline.
