Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced the completion
of a comprehensive renovation of Hyatt Zilara Cancun, further strengthening its
presence in the Mexican Caribbean and expanding its premium adults-only
offering in Cancun’s Hotel Zone.
The all-inclusive resort now presents a fully
refreshed guest experience across its 310 suites, public areas, restaurants and
wellness facilities. According to Hyatt, the redesign draws inspiration from
the natural landscape of the Yucatán Peninsula, incorporating local textures,
colours and handcrafted elements throughout the property.
Located between the Nichupté Lagoon and the Caribbean
coastline, the renovated resort aims to combine contemporary luxury with a
stronger sense of regional identity.
Redesigned suites inspired by the Yucatán landscape
All 310 suites at Hyatt Zilara Cancun have been
redesigned using warm natural tones and locally inspired details intended to
reflect the surrounding environment of mangroves, reefs and tropical
vegetation.
The updated accommodations feature spacious layouts
with views of the Caribbean Sea, handcrafted decorative elements and a design
concept focused on relaxation and reconnection with nature.
“We are pleased to share the debut of new enhancements
at Hyatt Zilara Cancun following a transformative renovation that elevates the
guest experience,” said Eduardo Rojas, General Manager of Hyatt Zilara Cancun.
“These new enhancements blend modern luxury with local character, offering
guests and members a rich sense of place and connection in a destination they
know and love.”
New wellness and beachfront experiences
Hyatt has also modernised the resort’s public areas
and beachfront facilities. Upgraded shaded areas, redesigned pool and beach
layouts and enhanced loungers are intended to create a more tranquil atmosphere
for guests.
A particular focus of the renovation is the newly
redesigned Zen Spa, which introduces expanded wellness offerings including
hydrotherapy experiences, holistic treatments and nature-inspired therapies
using naturally sourced ingredients.
According to Hyatt, the updated spa concept centres
around balance and personalised wellbeing experiences.
Dining concepts expand culinary offering
All 12 restaurants and bars at the resort have also
been reimagined as part of the renovation. New concepts include Bokeh, a
reservation-only speakeasy inspired by 1920s art deco aesthetics, offering
curated cocktails, wine selections and live music for a maximum of 23 guests.
Another addition is Casa Adelita, an intimate dining
concept limited to ten guests per seating and focused on traditional Yucatán
cuisine through interactive culinary experiences.
The resort has also introduced Olio D’Olivia, a new
waterfront Italian restaurant serving handcrafted pasta, risotto and northern
Italian specialities for lunch and dinner.
Hyatt expands its footprint in Cancun and Riviera Maya
The renovation of Hyatt Zilara Cancun forms part of
Hyatt Inclusive Collection’s broader expansion strategy in Latin America and
the Caribbean. The company currently operates more than 150 all-inclusive
resorts with over 55,000 rooms across the region and Europe.
Hyatt has recently strengthened its presence in Cancun
through projects including Secrets Mirabel Cancun Resort & Spa, Hyatt Place
Cancun Airport and the renovation of Secrets Playa Mujeres Golf & Spa
Resort.
Further expansion is planned with the opening of Park
Hyatt Riviera Maya, expected in 2026.
