May to October, Volendam and Zuiderdam will sail 20 cruises across 13
itineraries, showcasing the region’s iconic landmarks, fall foliage, and
maritime heritage.
Holland
America Line has announced its 2027 Canada & New England season,
introducing a diverse collection of voyages that highlight the region’s
lighthouses, national parks, cultural traditions, and culinary delights. A
brand-new itinerary dedicated to the area’s historic beacons complements a
lineup of immersive journeys designed to connect guests with the character of
each port.
Scenic
routes and historic ports
Between
May and October 2027, the midsized ships Volendam and Zuiderdam will operate 20
departures on itineraries lasting seven to 14 days. Nearly every voyage
includes scenic cruising of the St. Lawrence River and visits to Montréal or
Québec City, ensuring guests experience both natural beauty and French
heritage.

Canada & New England itineraries are crafted to showcase the wonders of
this region — from breathtaking parks and storied lighthouses to vibrant French
culture,” said Paul Grigsby, vice president of deployment and itinerary
planning at Holland America Line. “Guests can savor local traditions while
enjoying front-row views of the spectacular fall foliage.”
Spotlight
on lighthouses and culture
A
highlight of the season is the 9-Day Lighthouses & Harbors of Canada and
New England itinerary, sailing Oct. 2, 2027, aboard Volendam from Montréal to
New York City. Guests will encounter up to 10 lighthouses on 22 shore
excursions, including Maine’s Portland Head Light and Nova Scotia’s Peggy’s
Cove. Additional calls include Halifax, Charlottetown, and Bar Harbor.
Other
itineraries focus on regional culture and nature:
10-Day
Canada & New England Circle: New France and Montreal (roundtrip from
Montréal) explores Québec City, Saguenay, St. Pierre, St. John’s, and Prince
Edward Island.
11-Day
Canada & New England Circle: Maritimes and New France (Montréal to Boston)
visits five national parks, from Gros Morne in Newfoundland to Saguenay Fjord
in Québec.
Immersive
onboard and shoreside experiences
Guests
can enjoy Destination Dining with regional specialties such as Maine lobster,
PEI mussels, clam chowder, and locally inspired cheese and wine tastings. Shore
excursions include lobster fishing in Charlottetown, maple sampling at New
Brunswick sugar farms, and browsing artisan shops in Portland.

Atlantic, New England and Québec voyage from Québec City to Miami, including an
overnight in Halifax.
